I put videos that inspire me creatively in a special playlist, so I can go back and check for the things that got me excited when I'm not feeling it. Almost every portrait video you post ends up in that list. You make some really good images man.

This episode was awesome! I loved it. I have been so hyperfocused on other areas on my life that my photography has gotten put on the back burner a little bit recently. This is re inspiring me to get back to it. I need to catch up on a couple of other episodes too. Keep up the amazing work you do. Your episodes will always resonate. You have such a creative soul.

So I have the Q2 mono and also the SL2-S. are you shooting in manual or HSS for the strobe? Everything i have read says we cannot shoot in HSS so we are stuck at 1/250th. If you were in HSS what trigger were you using? Thanks in advance for the info.
SL2-S is the only other digital camera I'm interested in...
I regularly shoot at shutter speeds of 1/1000 - Shooting with strobes is not really my thing so I'm not super technical here.. Apparently the Q2 has a leaf shutter and can sync up to 1/2000th. Boom. Not sure about the SL series..
The flash is a FlashPoint XPLR 600 - Basically a rebranded Godox I think. It's 5 years old. Rarely used by me. I bought it when I had a Pro Nikon - it is HSS and came with its own brand trigger. So Nikon triggers work with Q2.
I also have a Godox V1 I use with the same trigger on my Q2. Hope that helps.

Great shoot man! The speed light shots smashed it, what transmitter and receiver did you use? I have a Q and an SF40 flash but I want to use the flash off camera. Thanks.
It’s a godox flash unit. I rarely use it. The transmitter is for Nikon but it works with Q2. Thanks!

@@domipro123 I don't know. It came with the Godox flash and it's a nikon based trigger. I've had them for years but rarely use em. I am sure there must be updated models available. The godox flashes are inexpensive but great in my opinion and Nikon triggers work for Leica. Good Luck.
How many batteries did you carry for this photo sess? I hate the battery life on the q2, it’s atrocious.
I’ve only ever had one. I love the battery life. Can go all day even after 2 years. I wonder if you have a bad battery?
