Friend and fellow CZcamsr Jill Maurer came to visit me in Houston and we went luxury shopping for Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and more at the River Oaks District and the Houston Galleria. We also took the dogs to the Texas hill country to visit wineries and float down the Comal River. There was a drought so we saw a few wildfires and the water in the river was so low that there was virtually no current and the light breeze kept blowing us upstream.

As a fellow Houstonian, I loved this. I remember hearing about the boat tour on the bayou years ago and somehow forgot about it. I need to do that. Cheers to you, Jill, Paul, Barron and Roxy.
The boat trip is definitely worth doing. We did the latest one which is nice because you get to see the lights come on under the bridges.
You need to know that you have a new subscriber and she gives this a paws up! Phoebe, my 1 1/2 year old Havanese was quite taken with your sweet dogs in this video…especially the trip down the river! 🐾

That was so much fun!!! Jill looks fabulous, and of course it’s always great to see Paul, but Baron and Roxy tubing was the best! They are incredibly well behaved! I feel so sorry for Jill having fallen out of her tube. I hope she didn’t have to stay in wet clothes for too long!
She didn't fall out, she got out on her own so she could pull us down river a bit. She mostly walked us, as I recall, but after her experience in the muck I swam us when it was my turn to be the livestock pulling the tubes.

Hope you all were able to spend some more time in New Braunfels -- it's a great little city. Gruene in particular is nearby and you would probably find that very charming as well.

Aaah the Driftwood. Always my favorite one of them all. Lady you need to try the huge beef ribs at Blacks in either Lockhart or New Braunfels. Just go early so they don’t sell out. Coopers down the road from Blacks has better sides though.
Next time you should get the ribs from blacks then sides at coopers, then drive down the road to the Gruene winery and eat with a glass of wine. 😀

I wish we'd been able to see more but the water was so low and the current so slow that we only made it about a 3rd of the way down (in THREE hours!) before we bailed.

Can you link the puppy carriage ? I just adopted a puppy two weeks ago and thinking it would be nice for her little legs not to have to walk long distances. Thanks in advance.
That was awfully brave of Miss Jill to walk through the muck.
Here's the stroller. We call it the chariot. ;D This is the best one I've found. It's comfortable for them, spacious, and sturdy. We've even used it to help move. It also has the best wheels. They're air filled and do great on lots of different terrain. I highly recommend it. amzn.to/3RrzvBP And congrats on your puppy!
