This is one of the most genuine videos about materials. Most of the guys who do videos try to promote products like salesmen whereas you simply say "brands are not really that important". By the way you produce amazing charcoal drawings and thank you for sharing your videos.
Details very very appreciated regarding tools that you use for charcoal drawings, drawings of which you excel (and with pencil too).
Writing this comment some time after the tutorial, during which time the Tombow chiseled eraser is on the scene.
Ultimately - thank you.
Thanks for this Miroslav, my vine charcoal arrived and today I attempted my first drawing ever using charcoal. I picked your rearing up stallion and wow to my shock it actually resembles yours a little. I followed the video step by step and it took about 3 and a half hrs. Thank you so much for doing these videos
Good. Keep practicing and maybe it'll look better than mine!
Thank you
This is an excellent video! When I first started using charcoal I didn’t really know where to start and invested in very cheap quality pencils & supplies. I remember using really smooth paper once, drew on it with charcoal, then when I blew the charcoal dust... it all fell on the floor 😂 This video is very helpful so you know where to start 😊👍🏻
So glad I found this channel, amazing artist and amazing explanations that help heaps
Excellent introduction to the materials. Thanks.
Thank you sir
I am in love with your work 😍
Ne crtam I ne slikam ali uzivam gledati kako stvaras predivne crteze. Odlican si

i thing it's good from time to time to show yourself and share your gift face to face, and will bring more subscribers for sure. tnx
Will do.
Love u so much bro......
I use a very cheap sketchbook and sketchblock a 3 size to sketch and also draw. I love the watercolour pads from the brand boahong. I use them for acrylic painting. They are so asome whit acrylic paint i love this video of charcole i wanna begin whit drawing whit charcole wen i get my charcole drawing case😃😁🖐🏾👍🏾👏🏾
bravo profesore, sve cestitke! uwu
Hvala :)
I am gonna buy a woodless charcole pencil to begin whit👍🏾🖐🏾😁 thank you for this video
Thank youbfor very informative video! Have a question though! Which of the charcoal pencils are best suited for making the whole background in black? .tried vine charcoal with a brush, but did not blend very even. Thanks/marcus
Charcoal powder pushed in with your finger.
Thank you. I find that I am watching your videos more and more for help... with charcoal mostly. I enjoy doing landscape value sketching. Your demonstrations and your narrative are clear and thoughtful. A couple of years ago while camping I made some vine charcoal in a sealed can. Beautiful and lovely to use. I have trouble sharpening pencils so perhaps I'll look for woodless compressed charcoal pencils.
You made your own vine charcoal? Nice. Woodless pencils definitely break less often.
Hey, I have a question. Do paper damages (such as surface scratches) show up once you shade it with charcoal? Or does charcoal cover it up with the charcoal’s formula? Considering that it’s darker and softer than graphite??
some damage here and there is unavoidable, but it's mostly not visible. use thick paper, that helps a lot.
ASalways another great video thanks . I find a lot of breakage when sharpening my woodless pencils. Is it the quality of the pencil or sharpener or my impatience . Can’t seem to get a sharp point, any tips ? Cheers
To me that only happens when the sharpener is dull.
There's a video explaining how sharpenning with a knife is beter because of motion the blade is going
This is a fantastic introduction. What brushes do you use and what sizes are recommended?
I mostly use 5mm flat bristle brushes.
Very useful !!
How to draw/ use charcoal on canvas ? Can u please explain?
I'm afraid I've never used it on canvas. I only use paper.
Sir I have bristol smooth paper with almost no tooth on it and charcoal doesn't work on it can u suggest me a paper type because the brand u r showing is not available in my country.... And also please let me know the brand of charcoal pencils... Thanks
I mostly use Worison or Koh-i-Noor charcoal pencils. I didn't really have problems with different types of paper, but I've never tried Bristol smooth.
@@MiroslavSunjkic sir can I ask you that how do you preserve your charcoal drawings.... I mean do you use any spray or any material for the preservation?
@@usmanrafique5297 I usually use a koh-i-noor fixative spray.
kralju
Can i use a Electric sharpner?
Yeah
Thanks🖐🏾😁👍🏾
Hi ..How to make charcoal stable on paper?
Well, once you're done, you can use a fixative spray. A couple of coats will do the trick.
So what is better? a wooden charcole pencil or a plastic wrapt charcole pencil?
Generally woodless ones tend to be easier to sharpen at least in my experiece.
Thank you😁👍🏾🖐🏾
İ'm Turkish and generally understands that languages. What is your favorite charcoal?? Kohi Noor Giocondo?
You can use any brand.
What kneaded eraser brand?
I like Faber.
@@MiroslavSunjkic thank you. I just ordered a kneaded eraser, pencil eraser and some tortillions! I started drawing with charcoal (after drawing with graphite) just a few weeks ago, and the results are amazing! Thank you, you are a real inspiration!
Thank you. I usually make my own tortillions and the Faber kneaded erasers are really worth the value. They are large and very soft and sticky.
@@MiroslavSunjkic yeah, i tried to make tortillions, but didnt succeed... I'll try later on, but i want to try the ones i bought, and check how they work. I hope the things i bought really is worth it! :)

The only bad thing about graphite drawings/ charcoals or any other materials to draw they look cheap even with the best drawings people will always go with oil panting
😂😂😂😂 paper isn’t important haha wrong guy wrong you can’t use any paper
I don’t like your methods at all their just not educated enough it’s sad cause I’m only beginning yet Ik alittle more then you do nope next video
