    Another great video. I have a 427sbf with a set of heads that flow 305cfm. It currently has a Vic jr on it but I suspect it’s being choked. I was thinking it would benefit from the BME manifold. It’s a solid roller motor that Ron Robart built so I’m hesitant to mess with it lol.

      Port match the manifold to the heads first and try it! It comes from the factory on the small side so that it can be perfectly match to most cylinder heads.

      Super Victor is my favorite big 351w motor intake.

  • @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover

    My stock bottom end e7 headed combo that ran 10.80s on motor has a weiand action plus on it with minor work done. Runners were straightened out, casting flash cleaned up, some of the harsh turns were rounded and the divider was thinned out. That combo also went 9.90s on a 150 shot pump gas 93 octane. I tried a parker funnel web and a holley hogh ram with a single flange 4250 top and all the torque left. The action plus went right back on lol

    • @benalamedaracing2765
      @benalamedaracing2765  Před 2 lety +2

      The funnel web is really delicate as far as combination goes and wants lots of compression and cam lifts. The E7 is for sure overwhelmed by such a tall and large port intake and I see you felt that and switch back!

      @@benalamedaracing2765 oh i felt it. The car was on a 28" tire with 4.30 gears and a t5 2.95 first gear ratio and bogging on the st leaving at 4000 rpm lol. The rpm drop was absolutely horrible. I like a wide rpm band, if i see a tight rpm band on an intake or a camshaft i tend to steer away from it. That low end torque and average power is whats most important. That peak hp number is nice to brag about but absolutely worthless if the average number is garbage. Esp on a low cubic inch low compression engine. That little 302 woth that action plus i could lug that engine in 4th gear down to 500 rpms with an anderson n51 camshaft in and itd pull right back up to crusing speeds smoothly with ease. It responded but had issues of cylinder robbing on adjacent next to each other intake opening. For ex. firing order 15426378 the last two #7 and #8 on the same bank will rob off each other, 13726548 will rob also on the same bank #6 then #5. This said I wonder if your engine has a next to each other intake opening issue that will screw things up @ high engine speeds.
