Yes, I loved her metaphor and agree with you. Perhaps it's more a case of the new owners living with the old owners in the interim. Blame for dodgy wiring get's thrown in the face of those who seemingly had no idea what they were doing. I don't see how the constant overlap of generations can't cause conflict in society. The battling cries of "You have it easy, these days" countered by, "Did you really not think discrimination was a bad thing?" Building those bridges, as Isabel says, is never gonna be complete, but awareness of past issues and moving forward to change things for the better, for everyone, has got to be the way to go. I try to remain a pragmatic optimist - but it's not always easy 🙂

And, as Wilkerson says, how the system was so arbitrarily created. @@freddsims648 My viewpoint of this country is beyond improved because of my reading habits. I read about 6-ish books a week. It’s a lot I know even with 4 kids. I, also, am a person who watches more foreign films and documentaries than Hollywood film for someone who has worked at Blockbuster Video.

Thanks for "BEING THE HOPE OF HUMANITY" and doing so in such a calm and logical way that most anyone can relate to. I just saw the film "OrigIn" which is based on Isabel Wilkerson's book "Caste." It was a fascinating film and I have learned so much. It forces us to see oppressive and prejudicial systems for what they are be they Palestinians and Israelis or Irish and British. It is prescient and important in today's political and social climate.

Her name is Dr. Isabel Wilkerson. She has worked to obtain that title. Jon Stewart and Stephen Cobert ignored that and addressed her by her first name. Other celebrities are addressed using their titles: Dr. Oz, Dr.Phil, etc. This was and is blatant disrespect.
