ప్రధాని మోదీ జనవరి 2న లక్షద్వీప్‌ పర్యటన తర్వాత మాల్దీవులతో తలెత్తిన దౌత్యపరమైన వివాదం ఆ దేశ పర్యాటక రంగంపై తీవ్ర ప్రభావం చూపుతోంది. భారత్‌ నుంచి మాల్దీవుల పర్యటనకు వెళ్తున్న వారి సంఖ్య 3 వారాల్లోనే భారీగా తగ్గింది. గతేడాది మాల్దీవులకు వెళ్లిన విదేశీ పర్యాటకుల్లో 2 లక్షలకు పైగా మందితో భారత్‌ అగ్ర స్థానంలో నిలవగా తాజా వివాదంతో ఆ ర్యాంకింగ్ ఐదో స్థానానికి పడిపోయింది.
