- Hey everyone welcome back to Harry Potter Folklore. In todays video we’re going to take another crazy what if scenario and pair 2 of the most powerful wizards of their time, in the same timeframe, have them battle each other and work out how the result would effect the Wizarding World. The 2 wizards in question are of course Lord Voldemort and Godric Gryffindor. What will be the outcome of this battle and as I mentioned, how will it affect the fate of the Wizarding World? Let’s find out!

The magical community would have gone extinct if Voldy won that battle... His pureblood supremacist views would have been their downfall... Due to in-breeding... The house of Gaunt is the perfect example
Very well put! IMO Godric would have wiped the floor with Voldy.
@@dianebusby7047 Yup
inbreeding is the very reason not to be a supremacist, race mixing for the win
Lmao
@@polishsasquatch4357 Depends on who has the same views as Voldemort
Godric: " dude I just wanted kids to go to school I didn't want a war. How did this all escalated into a war I have no idea. "
It would be a good fight however I would bet my life that any of the Four Founders would have wiped the floor with Voldemort
More than likely, especially slytherin, looking down at his descendant
Tricky. Remember that between them being alive and Voldy there are 1000 years of magical innovation. Of course the founders might also have some "Lost knowledge" on their side.
@CidVeldoril not even sure if 1000 years of innovation is true they were pretty stagnant with very little changes.
@@sammycakes8778 Even Expelliarmus might be unknown to Godric, if it was that 14th century witch that invented it, instead of Merlin (sources differ).
Delusional comment. Voldemort would kill all of them easily. He created more spells himself than all the founders themselves. Voldemort as a 5th year was creating spells. The founders have no shot at all 😂
I couldn't help noticing how much the pictures of Gryffindor, remind me of the Weasley family. So the question: is Godric already part of that family through his mother, or are the Weasley's the true heirs of Gryffindor, since they are always sorted into that house.
That's a very interesting question. That could be possible, given that Godric Griffindor is known to have bright red hair along with the Weasley clan.
It could equally be on his Dad's side.
Side note: I think Molly was a part of the Prewitt family, before marrying Arthur. She gives Harry her brother Fabians watch (Moody mentions that the Bones, McCinans and the two Prewitts brothers were killed by Voldy/Death Eaters. Only other Fabian we actually hear about in the story is when Molly references the watch "belonging to my brother Fabian")
To be honest I was hoping for a little narrative (play by play) of this hypothetical fight and for the other what ifs. Nevertheless you got my like. It's always a pleasure to hear the passion in your videos 👍🤗
Epic battle that I would absolutely pay to see fantastic video thanks for bringing it up and doing all the work on it.
Godric was powerful enough that Salazar did not stand up to him....choosing to leave, though setting up for a future victory leaving behind a Basilisk.
And Godric is one of 4 most powerful wizards. Still, I think the Sword of Gryfindor would be the deciding factor. It can destroy horcruxes....but only after defeating the basilisk....which it can also do. It "only takes in which makes it stronger"....which implies it "keeps out what makes it weaker".
So curses would likely rebound.
And Voldemort is evil, a tyrant, intelligent, and extremely powerful ...but not necessarily brave. The moment a curse rebounds because of the sword, he would exit stage left.
There's no scenario that Voldemort would fight to the bitter end....and he's too powerful to capture.
Awesome video keep up the great work
The founders all had access to magic long lost to the modern day Era, The founders would wipe the floor with any modern day counterparts.
Great video thank you so much really interesting story please keep up biomazing Workspace save and live long and prosper
Great video
Love this ❤️
I do enjoy these sort of what if, scenarios and battles. The hard thing with this one for me is that Voldemort is descendant of Slytherin., which has shared abilities. So for this to happen he would of had to been either the direct son of Salazar, which means he would of been a pure blood. The only other way would be a nephew. In that case good chance he would not of had the locket. However, lets say a nephew versus the son, (because if he was the son I think he would of revolted against his father first before battling against Godric) Say being the nephew of Salazar,, then lets look at the aspect of being in align with Salazar. Then I see Godric falling in that case.
The artwork is incredible
Here's an interesting what-if scenario what would happen if Herpo the Foul met Voldemort and what would his reaction be if he found out Voldemort had made more than one horcrux?
Think about it, here we have the creator of not only the bassalisk but the wickedest of all magical inventions as well, imagine him seeing his darkest piece of work being pushed to the absolute extreme, I think that'd be interesting to think about.
Dude the artwork in this video is phenomenal ,especially lord Voldemort just straight up badass ✌️💚🤘
There's a lot to consider here, but I'll add in two important points:
1) Godric Gryffindor was said to be a tough, NON-magical fighter as well as a great wizard, something that Tom Riddle never even tried his hand at. If the countering of the Killing Curse with a solid object is any indication, this offers Gryffindor a wider range of tactis and counters than the Dark lord may be prepared for. This fight may come down to a plain old butt-kicking.
2) Speaking of access to magical artifacts, it's worth noting that not just one, but TWO of Gryffindor's personal possessions are still intact, available, and magically functional: his sword and his hat. Who's to say that they don't have OTHER magical proprties than the ones we've seen, powers that he never told us about? Powers, perhaps, that he had guarded carefully for just such a moment as this?
This is true. We’ve even seen voldy using a silver shield. I bet Godric would too. I always imagined he used the sword for any conflicts with non-wizards to make it a fair fight
Man I love the new art style ur like a wizard
I like it! I of course want a victory for Godric in this scenario. Please do Godric Gryffindor vs. Salazar Slytherin alone with no help from anyone who would win. Because I believe that when Slytherin left Hogwarts it was without violence. I think he loved his 3 friends and his heart would break to hurt any of the other 3 so he just left in grudge. And before anyone attack me notice what I say "I believe" I have no proof of what really happened but it would be interesting to know.
AS WELL AS MAGIC GRYFNDOR
ALSO HAD A SWORD MADE BY
GOBLINS SO PERHAPS HE
COULD/WOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE
DURING THE DUEL SO I THINK
THAT IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IF U TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION
IT MIGHT TIP THE SCALE
SLIGHTLY IN HID FAVOR.
SO AS WELL AS A WAND HE COULD
USE THE SWORD SOMEWHERE
A LONG THE LINE. VOLDMORTE
ONLY HAS MAGIC THOUGH IT
MAY B VERY POWERFUL MAGIC
Can you do a video if all of the creators of Hogwarts were revived if they were personal mentors for Harry Potter himself and how different each of the movies would turn out to be.
This is a really good idea 👍
Love a 'What If?'
Great video.
Hogwarts would’ve been destroyed
Put nicely enough
Godric would win its made clear old magic is the strongest form of magic
But what about literally any muggle with a gun vs Voldamort? Can't block it if you get hit before you hear the round leave the barrel lol.
Hahaha. I hate the avada kedavra spell its just lika a gun. Another reason to prefer Lord of the Rings over Harry Potter.
Protective charms that always protects you against projectiles. Y'all act like guns are wizards kryptonite.
@@KingRobbStark I mean you would have to cast it before you get shot...
@@Rakotinoif you think they are the same then you clearly overestimate guns. People survive being shot all the time, although it definitely isnt pleasant...
@@Rick_Sanchez_G420 then that just makes avada kedavra even worse... Whats the point of trying to become a powerful wizard when you can just use avada kedavra instantly on basiclly everyone you want to kill?

WHAT IF Merlin Returned from the dead and Trained or Raised Harry Potter ?

To bring Godric back beyond a simple battle like the reanimation jutsu in Naruto, would result in more of a "gray character" backstory, and more than likely Godric Gryffindor has his flaws, and this may be personal bias, but I get Robert Baratheon vibes from Godric. Godric would definitely be the "close range" fighting type with shield and sword, and win massive support in politics/wizarding communities. I think Godric may win. Voldemort has rarely had to put in effort against others his entire life, and that includes combat. If Voldemort was smart, he would definitely notice the threat Godric would pose throughout years of knowing him, and pull the whole "Darth Sidious vs Darth Plagueis" angle through cunning, poison, or overwhelming numbers with over two dozen death eaters to kill Godric. This should be done before taking on the name "Voldemort" and making his intentions surface.
I need this with ravenclaw founder
1:16 AI is scary. It even got Voldemort never holding his wand normally correct😂❤️
I have to go with my boi Voldemort unless you tell me, somehow, current mages are nerfed vs past mages
Due to past mages having so much knowledge that they had to put it in so many fkn books. And a lot of them, *hidden* in the restricted section. Others, lost in time.
Can you please resurrect Rowena Ravenclaw and her possible husband Mr Ravenclaw if she married into the Ravenclaw family?
No one ever said the founders were stupidly powerful and expert duelist or anything. They were just smart and innovative enough to start their own school.
So my opinion…voldemort would likely destroy Godrick, Salazar and/or either of the women founders as well rather easily
I mean the story legit says several times they were the most powerful witches and wizards of their time. Who also trained Merlin perhaps the single most legendary wizard to ever live. I think it's safe to say that even 1000 years latter not to many reached their lvl.
I really like the what if scenario's!
Does anyone know if it was theoretical possible for Dumbledore to use a defence against the dark arts teacher pool? This as a kinda solution for the curse Voldemort placed on the job that teachers were only there for a year. So could Dumbledore have teacher A, B, C take yearly turns on the function, if of course they stayed alive? Or was the curse placed for you can only teach one year ever in the teachers life?
And could theoretical the real Moody teach defence against the dark arts after the year that Barty Crouch teached?
Voldy has 900 years of magical spell knowledge over gryffindore....but he also wouldn't be afraid to use the unforgivables bc in his day they weren't unforgivable yet (if they even existed yet)
They were classed as Unforgivable in 1717, 10 years after the Ministry of Magic was formed.
It's possible they've been around for a lot longer.
Technically Voldy does not have 900 yrs of magical knowledge as most of that knowledge is already lost throughout the ages by the time we reach his birth. He only focused on the Dark Arts which is one brach, it's implied he's dug so far into the Dark Arts, consorted with the worst of wizard kind etc however if most of the ancient magical knowledge is lost then he's not aware of it's existence so he can't obtain it.
Hogwarts has a lot of knowledge in books, even then it's only a sliver of what there was. We don't how much Tom actually read, he may have simply focused on The dark arts for harming, killing, ensarning, powerful spells and immortality which again isn't a whole lot compared to how many branches there are of Magic.
Do another conquerer like Grindlewald rises back to power
I can imagine the Sword using magic spells.
How do you know Death Eaters would have existed? Just because he was able to create them during his school years at Hogwarts during the 1930s and 1940s doesn't mean he could create them during the 10th Century.
The people Riddle surrounded himself with during his school days were ripe for the picking. The timing was perfect. It may not be during the 10th Century, society is vastly different.
Please make what if Harry Potter meet Godric Gryffindor in person
May I know who did the drawings for Godric, Voldemort, and the others in these fantastic videos? They are absolutely exquisite, so I am honestly curious about who the artist is. Can anyone help me out here?
Weren't they made by AI?
Here a interesting what if what if Salazar Slytherin fought Voldemort
It could be because Voldemort will kill whoever he wants including pureblood if they get in his way
Since you bring up the muggles.
If the threat to the wizarding and muggle world were big enough they would cooperate to end the threat.
And that cooperation could lead to a whole new enlightened era inhumanity ending the need for secrecy once and for all.
Imagine The wizarding and non wizarding world fully integrated
how about doing a video for the other founders of Hogwarts and them going against Voldemort?
My theory was that Harry Potter was decedent of Godric Grifindor because they both born at The same place Godric Hollow. Slytherin was against to get married with maggles but other houses thinking differently thats why Harry has maggles in the family thats why Voldemort was angry and became Dark Wizard because his mother went after a muggle and was in the Orphanage his mother got murdered by that muggle so he killed his father. Voldemort story
Hi! I have an idea for a video, What if Ginny hadn't managed to take Tom Riddle's diary from Harry in the second book?
Luscious dropped it into her cauldron
what if barty crouch sr became minister instead of fudge
Is it possible that harry distant descendants of godric Gryffindor via lily side of family because they both have red hair and green eyes and did it say on book 2 that muggle born are distant direct descendants from squib?
🤔for a minute or two:a battle between Voldemort and Godric
All that is at stake:the destruction of the magical community/Hogwarts and the muggle world if the dark lord wins which why I’m cheering for Gryffindor to rein victorious!!
I'm convinced that art of Godric is Brian Blessed
Stfu fascist bitch. Look at your hypocrite ass supporting another HP video if they don't express political views opposite to yours. Your comment is adding more to JKs pocket seeing how invested your ass is on her franchise. Gtfoh, no one wants your ass here
0:37
I mean, the resurrection stone exist
Voldermort just looks wierd af with a nose
03:12. The only real problem I have the the DH movies...(and I think they were very well done!!!)...is that the final fight wasn't done in front of everyone there. In the books, they dueled in front of everyone, so it was obvious that Harry beat Voldy. But in the movies, it becomes again...just Harry's word. And we've already seen how the Daily Prophet skews the truth.
How did Voldy get the title Lord? How does that just happen? What other Lords do we know of in canon?
Little Tom doesn’t stand a chance. He would be vaporized in the first round. A true battle would be against Godrick vs. Salazar (as a Basilisk)
Godric Would win no doubt he's too experience , too powerful and older plus has been around magic longer then Voldemort
Don't get me wrong tom wouldn't go down without a fight he won't be easy but Godric would win
Seeing Voldemort with nose is strangely disturbing
Interesting video, especially that it wasn’t just a vs punch up. I do think that we are assuming a lot by thinking Godric would have been very collaborative and reasonable. I think it’s possible he’d have been a sort of “good heart, hot head” sort of guy. Like a Moody sort of character. Prone to arguments with those he sees as not acting nobly or justly. Evidence for that was his own selection of students and his falling out with slytherin. I’m not sure if he would have been an Albus Dumbledore in other words. Albus is more reasonable but at the cost of being pretty sneaky himself (let’s be honest here!).
In terms of the war, I think Godric would get flattened tbh. Might have a chance in a one on one duel but he’s just not sneaky enough to win a war. Again, albus was good but manipulative so he was able to play the 3D chess against voldy. Godric would likely die a James Potter type death by trusting the wrong people.
Yes!! Yes exactly that's why he needs someone who doesn't trust easley, some one paranoid and good judge of character, someone who views each side of the coin, thinks about the concicunces of the action, some one not driven by blind rage and hatred. We see all these trades in rest of the founders!! They were a team together different but together. I think they clicked like different pieces of a puzzle creating a beautiful and magistic picture like their school.
To win and survive he needs a logistics like Rowena, A paranoid, strategist and ambitious someone like Salazar, A just and kind yet powerful figure who could also act as a spy like Helga. They thrive together and if we take 4 founders against anyone they would win if not in glory but will win and will survive.
@@ShantiDevi-tv5ps totally. People forget that the founders were actually really good friends, especially Godric and Salazar. I think it was maybe like snape and lily (minus the unrequited love lol).
OK....this all comes down to a person willing to use the AK. Anyone other than Harry, along with the particular circumstance of the mastery of the Elder Wand....would have to be willing to use AK to kill Voldy. DD was very adroit in using certain skills to block the AK curse in the ministry atrium. But to truly defeat Voldy, one would have to be willing to stoop to Voldy's level and use the killing curse.
I think Godric was maybe as powerful as Dumbledore since he's widely acknowledged as one of the greatest and most powerful wizards of all time then his duel with Voldemort would go maybe the same as Dumbledore's duel with Voldemort went the only difference would be that Gryffindor wouldn't hold back from maybe using darker spells.
Voldemorts horcruxes vs Herpos Horcrux.
What about Voldemort vs Salazar Slytherin?
I think your using AI to generate photos and if you are I love it and new and interesting depiction of characters we know and love
There is a big chef youtuber called Adam Ragusea who has said that Harry Potter book fans should not show the Harry Potter books to our kids 😭
Adam can say whatever he wants, doesn’t mean we have to listen
@@HarryPotterFolklore That is true
@Oscar did he? That's a shame because I quite like him, I didn't think that he was overly censorious.
Godric Gryffindor would probably win with harry by his side tbh
What If Prime Voldemort Fought against all Dark Wizards?
Not finished the video. But Tom stood on the shoulders of giants.
As did Gryffindor I’m sure, but without the wealth of prior learning, Tom just isn’t at that level. Dumbledore was always the better wizard, don’t doubt Gryffindor would have been much different.
Which AI photo generator do you use?
What if Voldemort and Bellatrix raised Delphine? I know you hate that story but how strong could she be if raised by her parents
I'm not sure how any of the Hogwarts founders could win against Voldemort since there's been a lot more magic that was created in the 1000 years of their passing that they wouldn't know about.
I think you that no I understand what you meant
4:32 Why does Godric have 6 fingers?
I often find it ironic that pure bloods don't have more children. They talk alot about their superiority but almost do nothing to maintain their bloodlines in some cases.
What if Tom Riddle was sent to America to live with the Stewarts instead of the orphanage?
This what if sounds like it was written by an AI
What if Voldemort joined Harry Potter
And I mean in the graveyard when Voldemort returned he join Harry side instead of being Harry Potter's enemy
Anyone who think the founders would be voldemort would be wrong.
voldemort would lose in a duel against grindelwald. he has zero chance against someone like godric gryffindor
Godric would have knowledge of ancient magic that would've been lost by Voldemorts time I'm sure... So honestly don't think Voldemort would stand a chance
If voldy can't win against dumbledore...what else Godric?
Hopefully godric does win and Harry Potter is the same as any other students. Thus thier would not be one house. The name of the school would have just been changed. To Slytherin.
...why does Voldemort have a nose?
why are people always trying to come up with excuses to why voldemort would lose? Voldemort is by far the stronger wizard. He has done magic noone thought possible. He is on a par with dumbledore who is basically God. Give credit where credit is due. Voldemort would absolutely destroy Goddric in a 1v1 battle.
Hogwarts would have crumbled from within
Lol the dark arts should be called the forbidden arts.
do you know which powerful wizards went to hogwarts, but didnt graduate?
Let me make it easier for you Godric would easily win, as cool as Voldemort is let’s be real he could not beat Harry Potter he was outsmarted by A plan from Dumbledore!!! You are away exaggerating Voldemort.
You should do a video on Dumbledores secret. He was a sex maniac and active member of the LGBT community.
Godric is far more powerful
How about a video on why whenever we read about/see Death Eaters fight, they don't just constantly use Avada Kedavra? In tactical terms it makes no sense, when a) they have no moral issue with killing, and b) it's unblockable and 100 percent lethal.
Yet it's blocked constantly
Voldemort would maul him.
Like not even close. I have noticed that people downplay voldemort just cuz they hate his caracther lol its kinda funny. He was an equal duelist to Dumbledore as both were the best duelists and most powerfull wizards of all time.
@@carlosvaldes5695 they were the most powerful wizards *of their time
😍🥰🥰😊🦁
Instead of repeating the same theories over and over again, and different variations of the same thing why don’t we come up with something new ??
Gryffindor would win
Of course Godric Gryffindor more powerful 😞
Godrick wins
Wouldnt Voldy still have won because he had 7 horcruxes keeping him alive?
No. The body can still be destroyed. He'd just turn into an angry ghost again.
Voldemort will kill all founders at once himself 😂😂😂. Voldemort going 10% would mop them all. I got Voldemort killing any and every movie/book character in every universe/ lore except Dumbledore the goat 🐐 himself
Let's say Voldemort at his prime just gets sent back to the 11th century when The Founders were all at their prime.
1 vs 1 Gryffindor would absolutely stomp Voldemort into the ground as magic back then was far more powerful, if less refined, than modern magic. Not to mention Godric Gryffindor was considered one of, if not THE, greatest duelists of all time.
Now, if Voldemort went back with his Death Eaters and Godric had to raise his own army to fight them.....things would get significantly more difficult. He would only have Helga, Rowena, and maybe some of the older pupils of theirs to call on as the wizarding world might be a whole lot more open to a "Kill the muggles before they kill us" mindset that the Death Eaters promote. Things get even worse if Salazar Slytherin himself joins his future Descendant in a round 2 group fight.
Voldemort is a better duelist than Gryffindor please. Like Voldemort would stomp him no debate.
@@carlosvaldes5695 That's the thing though. Voldemort isn't a good duelist.
@@kaimagnus5760 Well thats a pretty ignorant comment.
