Personally, though Hodge is a good player, I preferred Alynah Torres who holds a substantially higher batting average along with a better fielding percentage. Hodge made some excellent plays, but she also booted a couple in the series, including the initial error preceding the Mia Scott tagout.
I'm hoping Patty can snag a couple of ultra premium pitchers out of the portal to complement our likely new ace. I expect most of our superb recruits to acclimate very quickly, a la Parker & Pickering this season.
The building and packing of Loves Field is helping OU softball be self sustaining financially.

Again…why is everyone so freaked out about coach Gasso’s decision to have a multi pitched game? It’s simple…she wanted to give experience and to give all the seniors a spot in the championships period….and alley Mac was the icing on the cake
I'm sorry, but that's why knowledgeable Oklahoma softball fans feel a certain way about Justin. They've been consistent the past few years? 2015 OU senior class (won a NC 2013) - Lauren Chamberlain, Callie Parsons, Shelby Pendley, Jessica Vest, Georgia Casey. 2016 starting Freshman - Sydney Romero 3B, Shay Knighten 1B, Caleigh Clifton 2B, Fale Aviu OF, won back to back national championships in 2016 and 2017 they made the final 4 their junior year and were runner up to UCLA their senior year in 2019. Then Hansen and Boone arrived for the covid year and then came Jennings, Coleman May the following year. It has everything to do with Patty Gasso and YES her players!!!!
Justin knows so much about softball, but was down in OU before the season and said we didnt have the pitching to win it all this year. I respect the heck out of him, just get the feeling on other podcasts that he would rather someone end our NC run. I sort of have a love/hate relationship with him, but there is few others i respect more about their softball knowledge. I would love for Eric Lopez to be on the show to talk about softball.

As Sooner softball fans, you should know better than to have Justin of all people on here. Out of all people. He doesn’t deserve any attention after what he did. Do better next time.
