Canaday pitcher would be a great threat to the opposing teams!!!
Too many people expecting too much out of the incoming freshmen. They are still freshmen no matter how highly rated or how well they played in high school. They haven’t faced the level of competition, scrutiny or pressure that OU gets in every game. We still need players like Hodge who are more experienced and have faced the pressure of competing at this level. The critics who keep mentioning her errors in the two final games don’t talk about all the great plays she made and even her bat came alive. I hope she sticks around. Lilio never did impress and SJ was an enigma. She pitched well in her few outings and I thought she should have pitched at least one or two batters in the final series especially second game when all the other pitchers got in some time.
If I recall correctly, Hodge had 2 errors in her final games, one of which was questionable. She also made a whole lot of plays that some of the others could not have made. She is a huge loss

Oklahoma needs a experienced franchise pitcher. Jordy Bahl to Kelly Maxwell so they need the next franchise pitcher not a freshman.

You guys named a lot of players in the portal. One name conspicuous by its absence: Avery Hodge. As long as she is in the portal there is no reason to just let her go without a fight for her to stay.

Secret to being an OU starter, transfer in. Don't be a recruit.
The best that fans and 1 recruit can hope for is that Sanders is used as a pitch hitter. The best that another recruit fielder can hope for is that Gasso picks up 2 pitchers.
What Gasso should do but will not is to add players from the recruit pool.
Actually, I hope she only gets 3 from the portal. These freshmen need a chance to show they can perform. We need an established RH pitcher, so I think Patty will wait for someone like Alex S. to become available. Then a couple of great hitters. The girl from Miami Ohio sounds like a good prospect. Patty has the luxury of waiting, because she already has a very talented roster. I think if Hanna Coor can finally learn to not swing at riseballs out of the zone, she will be the starting centerfielder. Cassidy will get one of the other spots in the OF, and Maya Bland should get the other one to start the season. Nelly M-M should compete for an IF spot, with Syd S on 1st.

Big difference in competition in those stats when you move out of the power conferences, be careful there.
I would hope OU gets a 3rd base player in the portal. I think the freshman can handle 2nd and SS. 2 Pitcher, 2 OF, maybe 1 catcher.

It is just a small gut feeling that I have but I think Patty has got this. My question is, has she got a nice big salary Increase yet, and if not, why ????????? No I don't think she is considering leaving Norman but she deserves a big bump in her salary, regardless.

Sooners are going to be the young guns no more like Hodge or lilo no home runs and Hodge giving up 3rd run and 4th run to Texas maxwell saved more runs with 2 outs runners on base thanks Scott Hodge shouldn't fumble the ball 3rd run wouldn't get her body in front of the ball scared
Not sure if you played ball but errors are part of the game. We as fans are critical when they happen but it does happen. My point is I don't like jumping on a college player for making mistakes.

If you looked at the video when she missed the ball going to her right in slow motion you will see that her right cleet got caught. That’s why see stumbled going to the ball. Yes I’m a Hodge fan and hate to see her go.
