@@gh2471 mmm i think is a great track, the melody, the build up, the solos. For me its a great song, maybe it's straight foward but i really like it. For me The Calamity is the weakest, but its awesome too!

I really don’t care for the slower songs on the sin and the sentence but the rest of the album is banger.

Ascendancy, Shogun and Sin and Sentence are all fantastic. Been a fan since 04. I've enjoyed some stuff from In Waves and The Crusade, as well.

#trivium anything from the shogun album. Every song is a banger on the album. Especially the shogun special edition album because it has good the bonus tracks on it. Try Kirisute Gomen and Torn Between Cylla and Charybdis though. They are a band with a lot of good content. I'm sorry to hear about your son, my condolences. It is off their newest album of the same name (2017), compared to this song which came out on their Shogun album (2008). Very sorry to hear about your son. RIP!

Also, fun fact: the chorus rhythm of this song is the same rhythm of the beginning of the opening track of this album, Kirsute Gomen. So when you listen to the album on loop, it just circles all the way back around in a neverending tune.

So happy you guys both loved Shogun so much and your son maybe as well. That song is an epic masterpiece, like an opera as you mentioned. This song takes the listener on an 11 minute progressive metal journey. 👊 Its my all time favorite song by them, and by any metal band. It's an all time great!!!
I've also noticed that by looking at your body's reaction to hearing the song i can know which one follows what insturemnt and the shifts between parts of the song \m/ awesome videos, keep it up and always be mindful thanks for everything!

So glad you guys got to Trivium! They're so dynamic, I love how they continually change up the sound. I'll have to check out the rest of the Shogun album as I've only heard they're more recent ones. Trivium is one of those bands like Alter Bridge or Metallica where I like most of their songs, not just a few hit singles.

One of my favourite albums by this band. Strangely enough, the album artwork and title are Japanese, but several of the songs have themes of Greek mythology. I've never found out what the connection is...
I love the false endings in this song.
Try: Caustic Are The Ties That Bind, Drowning in Slow Motion, Forsake Not the Dream by Trivium. Also try sum Bullet for my Valentine. I'd recommend Your Betrayal or The End.
