That’s how I ruined my fucking life. I mean I shouldn’t say it’s ruined I went from a 8/10 life to a 6/10 life. I’m fortunate I should admit but I could have been doing so much better if things went a little differently. I can only blame myself. I still blame myself. I keep hoping to find something else to replace it but I had a very good position. I blew it. 🤦♂️

Mindfulness has saved me many times. Even when I get euphoria from hitting the gym, I use it to center myself and remind me how beautiful it is to even have the opportunity to lift weights/have a gym membership/food, etc, because all those things can easily be taken away.

Here is a big key to remember about emotions. They are usually an indicator if you are where you either want to be or don't want to be. If you are where you want to be you will feel good. If you are where you don't want to be you will feel bad. So, yes, notice why you feel bad but just be aware it is a sign you aren't where you want to be and then you can learn to avoid those situations.

Being silent, aware of your emotional state and being able to control your emotions in a moments notice is what reflection gave me. My mind enjoys Nature more than ever, i am grateful and practice it, and overall my mind is clear, sober and simple.
Too much garbage piles up inside the mind and sometimes YOU have to sit in silence in order to filter those bad icky thoughts and your true SELF will come out. It just takes practice and self belief.

I like this! Be aware of the emotion (positive or negative) and go into it. So many people want to get rid of the negative emotion they feel in the moment. Lessons can be learned by just being with a feeling.
You can also stop the high if your strong enough
I actually always wonder and consider this myself.
Thought I was an introvert for the longest time until I did just that and realized I always felt a strange feeling of happiness and motivation after any significant socializing. Made me realize I had social anxiety and I wasn't in fact an introvert but an extrovert.
Reflecting on why you feel something is in direct contrast to staying in the moment. Reflect later. Feel now.
Reflecting is to be self aware that not everything that comes to through thoughts is part of the self.
ok that’s good, in therapy seesion it’s often that they invite us to “be” with a sensation, try to catch where in on your body you can feel it, makes you ground better.. if it’s good expand on it, if it’s bad try to examine if you feel it on your skin, cold hands etc - helps to actually relax..
A lot of it goes back to all those mindful techniques, but I mostly get into in when guided - sometimes I get it on my own..
Just sitting in a chair slowly turn your head while examining the surrondings, land your attention to any feature that seems interesting, examine how it makes you feel
(it’s callee orientation, a basic technique to relax, ground, when you look behind you you feel a bit safer knowing there’s nothing there - also never have a chair that has your back to the door, terrible for feeling secure)
Yeah being grateful is the key it will balance out the "high activation state"

Just experienced this yesterday. I was doing a grocery pickup order and the employee, who I was familiar with, snapped at me when I asked him a question. Old me would have tore into him for that but this time I stopped myself, thought about the situation for a second and thought, "hey, maybe he's just having a bad day" and let it go. We always have a choice in situations like this. Don't be that person who is affected negatively by everything in their environment. Not everything deserves a reaction.
