Kevin, the best classic cendol and ice kacang is in penang n melaca. We hv various chinese authentic desert in penang like bobochacha and classic sweat potato soup dessert. Somtam is really spicy, but we hv modified one called kerabu😊😊😊
You can try local dessert such as glutinous rice soup, red bean soup, sesame soup and etc. The nearest such shop near to Bukit Bintang is at Dawa Dessert in Pud u. I haven't try this shop but I have tried other shops in Old Klang Road, Jalan Ipoh and Kepong which is quite a distance from Bukit Bintang.
