How to Use Telegram

- Telegram is a free, cloud-based messaging app available on mobile devices such as iOS and Android devices as well as Mac and PC.
The app provides end-to-end encrypted video calling and file sharing.
The telegram was released back in 2013.
Telegram syncs between all devices has no limit on the size of media or chat, allows for large groups, and is heavily encrypted with the ability to send self-destructing messages.
You can download telegram at telegram.org or you can search Telegram on App Store for iPhone or iPad or Google Play store for Android.
When signing up for Telegram, you do need to type in a phone number to get started and create an account.
Once inside the app, you can give Telegram access to your contacts, start a text conversation, call or create a group.
You can create one-on-one conversations, group chats, secret chats, or new channels.
Telegram groups are ideal for sharing stuff with friends and family or collaboration in small teams. But they can be as large as 200,000 members.
Channels are similar to groups, but they are public. And there is no limit to channels.

Hey Dude. I hope you're doing well and staying safe. I follow a few Guitar oriented CZcams Channels and I like to talk to some of the other followers. They've suggested that I download and utilize Telegraph. With my limited messaging experience I've only ever used Text Messages and Facebook Messenger. So your Instructional Video really helped me at the perfect time. Thank You so much for the work you put into making this Video happen. What I like about Telegram is multi-device and multi-account (up to 3) accounts on the same app and on the same phone. This, not to mention the the secret conversation and fabulous groups and channels capabilities.
The best messaging app. Period.

- the fact that IF you want you can search not only groups and channels but also people nearby who also wanted that.
- the fact that you can chat by username and without having to give out your phone number.
- the fact that people can send you all the videos and pictures and documents and crap they want and it won't trash your cellphone memory because it's all in the cloud.
- the fact that because of the above the app is much lighter than the alternatives and make your phone last longer in top notch form.

Thank you so much for having posted all this glorious information. Sound corny? That's because I'm a "senior citizen" so not as quick on the uptake anymore. You should add iOS to the title, for ease of search. Since you're showing the iOS version of Telegram, that is very specific.

Very well explained, thank you. I am a rank beginner on this app, so I'll have to study what you said many times. However, you didn't mention stickers. What are they all about? Earlier, I was in a group chat on this app, and of course it was easy to send text and attachments, but I was lost because many of them were advanced users of Telegram. So I hope the next time we meet, I'll know a lot more.

I just downloaded Telegram, so I am brand new. I have a team of associates that I want to BROADCAST with the Telegram CHANNEL .. but I cannot find the CHANNEL on my Telegram app now. Where can I find how to setup a Channel now?
I'm fairly new as well but I will try to help. Once you have set up your account, click on your profile pic or icon and it should pull up a search 🔍 icon in the top right corner. Just click on it and it pulls up all of the FAQs that you can click on and it will tell you step-by-step. Hope this helps. 😊
Telegram is said to be very secure, but the channels and groups are fairly public, so be careful and know that others can get intothe group or channel to create distractions - so your admin will need to be vigilant and users should tell admins about troble-makers. I find Telegram difficult to use on a phone and the content seems to jump around too often on its own.
Also, there is a slight change that Telegram has a backdoor to its encryption. IsraEli investors helped fund the company and that sometimes means Big Brother has access to some extent. No blind faith, people. Trust no one. Telegram's requiring a real phone number is a clue.
That's an interesting concept. A phone number isn't just a number, it's another form of ID.
@@DennisMathias At this point, I trust Russia more than the USA. Both spy on their citizens, but the Russian government isn't likely to call the American government and ask it to trade meta-data -- at least for a couple of years.

Yes, it requires a real phone #, but you can enter a fake one or a second phone # if you do it through Google Voice. You can slo hide your # from everyone in the settings. Then, they can only find you by your user name.
Ah.... the good old "phone number" trap , sorry not falling fo that one , next !

Hey ! I have a question. Telegram notifies you if you take a screenshot of a Secret Chat. Same thing happens on Instagram if you screen record using iPhone’s built-in screen recorder. Does the same thing happen for Telegram Video Calls for both screenshots and screen recording?
Whoever took the screenshot did not see anything, instead of the screenshot, there will be a black photo.

I just want to know how to keep all the pictures on telegram from going into my gallery on my phone. I end up with thousands of pictures that I don't want and I have to delete.

What does this mean, on a certain channel I get this all the time “unfortunately this group couldn’t be displayed on your device” when I click on the comments?
it means that the channel you're trying to open was banned, and is not accessible anymore
The hard part thing that have hard time is that it’s about that that they do not even send me the code or anything like that that’s the problem have you know or do you know what’s the code?
I hope you can answer this. I had never heard of telegram until yesterday. I had asked a question of a CZcams influencer and she asked me to kindly get in touch by telegram. I have no idea how to do that which is why I’m now looking up videos on this.

Hi they are saving stuff in the telegram folder.
If you go to the settings you can change it so it doesn't automatically save pictures and videos.
You go to your settings so that you don't automatically download things by turning off Save Incoming Photos under the Data and Storage section. I hope this helps!
