    As many others have stated, this is a poor way to run the power wire. If you look under the dash next to the clutch pedal, there is a rather large rubber plug you can easily run the wire through. Just use a coat hanger and some tape to guide it through. I made this video 6 plus years ago and it seemed like a good idea at the time, I took time to insulate the wire to make sure it would not rub through but it would easily rub through if you ran it carelessly and through the rubber plug in the firewall is a much better/easier way to run it.

    Good vid, BUT, woulda run the power through the main harness boot through the firewall behind the battery, same way I have the vaccum line for the boost gauge ran

      ya I agree, I didnt know about that spot 6 plus years ago when I made this video

    WHY the hell didnt you use the original wiring hole left of the speeder pedal? much easyer and better , that solution for power cable is shit sorry

    • @TheRollingTimes
      @TheRollingTimes  Před 6 lety +3

      Schooloftech thanks for the advice, I agree that the way I ran the power wire wasnt the best way to do it, but for a small setup using a smaller gauge power wire it was quick and simple.

      Another way is to remove the left wiper blade and feed it up across the screen, wrap it around the aerial and in through the rear wiper hole. It can also double for a tow rope.

      The Rolling Times my bad had commented with the wrong acct... but yeah for 6ga and below you can run thru the firewall grommet behind battery box kind of hidden but easier on the bad door harnesses this gen was plagued with. The rest is nice tho

    Please for the love of god never run your power like this! Run thru the firewall. If you plan on running your power like this please please please take it to someone that knows what the hell they are doing!!!

    • @TheRollingTimes
      @TheRollingTimes  Před 4 lety +1

      While i agree the firewall is a better option, there was nothing wrong with the way i ran the power wire. It was a small enough gauge that it fit through. Its not going to rub through anywhere.

    • @TheRollingTimes
      @TheRollingTimes  Před 4 lety +4

      Also if you know what you are doing why are you watching a video on how to do it?

    • @MrCkyfreak24
      @MrCkyfreak24 Před 4 lety +4

      I watch videos like this to steer people away from fire hazards like this. Power wire should NEVER be ran thru the door area. If anyone that runs the same organization that I do seen this video it would get roasted to the point that comments were turned off 🤣. I have 2 runs of 2/0 ran thru the firewall. If that fit the little ass wire you ran would easily fit and be 100% safer. Videos that give horrible advice like this should be illegal and you should be liable for damages to everyone that followed your advice on it 🤣🤣🤣

      Pretty sure he is. If you are you just need to buy line output converter, hook that up to your rear door speaker (either side works) basically what it does is convert the normal wire to rca

    • @Oscar_delta13
