Dark Country is a collaborative compilation by various artists, published by the Extreme Music label. It's guitar-heavy country with a dark(er) twist.
I've decided to put up this album because it's simply great music that I personally enjoy. The original audio quality of the uploaded file is 128 kbps MP3. The whole album (and many others) are available for free streaming on Extreme Music's official site in even higher bitrates (links below).
Why upload something that's already available elsewhere? Well, CZcams is extremely popular, and usually the #1 stop for all music searches. My wish is simply for this music to become as widely available as possible.

I feel like two ends of the Dark Country spectrum are at play here (is it a genre already?).
On one end you’ve got Blues Saraceno, constantly reminding us of man’s precarious condition and dependency on God’s will, while telling stories bathed in the most horrifying sin that humans can choose to commit.
And on the other end you’ve got some dude that just wants others to call him an “outlaw” for the sake of it.
I wish i had friends like you bro the way you can critically analyze this and so effortlessly condense complex subject is really cool i feel like we would have conversations. SAdly I am in hell..scraping my out ,..i may be remembered as a monster but i tried to live like an angel and they kept kicking me to the ground. They took everything from me. LONG LIVE LEGION WE ARE MANY WE NEVER DIE>

There wasn't a whole lot about this that was country . The minute I hear rap I know it's not country. Just be truthful in your your descriptions.

Really like the selection, but I'm trying to get my head around what the dark country genre is. Is it a genre or more of a style? It seems to involve some sort of religious reference as Jesus, the Bible, the devil, sins, heaven… And maybe killing someone preferably someone really close to you. Probably with a handgun.. on the other hand, to me songs, like Bob Seger's roll me away, and Bon Jovi wanted Dead or Alive could probably fit in here as well. I can even pick up some heavy, Metallica references..
