Pat is being incredibly polite but the subtext is that he would have ended up working there for years and walked away with nothing. Pat got lucky the thing with Barstool didn’t work out.
Love Pat and his boys. The best thing was probably separating from barstool and because of that it’s gotten bigger and better.

Dave seems a little salty but I’d imagine it’s because he lost a 1 of 1 talent in pat and they kind of compete in the same space now. But I don’t think there’s real bad blood there

What I like about Pat is that he's honest, he doesn't try to stick a knife in the eye of someone just to get the attention that comes with watching someone bleed out in public, and he treats the rich, the famous, and the everyman like they are his next door neighbor. He's relatable.
I'd really love to hear an episode of Pat and Dave sitting down over a pizza. Everyone knows the rules.

Being a part of Barstool Sports was a good launching pad for McAfee but without going out on his own he wouldn't have reached the heights that he has.
