I’ve been considering these too. I tried on a few earlier this week and ended up going back to a pair of Diadoras from like 20 years ago. They were my dads and I’ve had them forever. Two days ago I found an old photo of Senna wearing the same ones
Should've printed "Will Ford" the other way around so that it's not upside down on the video. :) Looks great though, really like it and might just go down that route.
If you ever get a second pair of boots you should definitely ask for your name being printed the other way around on the straps, so it is readable in the pedal-cam! :) (hope you didn't mention this yourself in the video, just scrubbed quickly through at work and will watch later :) )
If you ever go karting in them or anything else it might look a bit odd but if they're simulator-only it would be a nice touch. kinda like sponsor stickers on the f1-cars halo for the onboard-cam. :)
Good idea. I didn't even notice, but I'm kinda strange when it comes to reading. I've recently had a heap of free time so I decided to start reading using a mirror and I've always been able to read upside down. I know none of this is relevant but I'd bet it'd confuse me if he did have them upside down because I'd automatically try to compensate. Like when in traffic and someone has advertising on their bonnet designed so it's readable in your mirrors, that always trips me up for a second.
Boosted Media I probably should fund more meaningful improvements like pedals first since I’m on a G29 these days with the load cell “simulate” rubber insert in the brake
Smeg Heeaad in some respects I'd rather a G27 over my G29 because the factory calibration on a G29/920 brake is non-linear because of the insert so if I remove the insert because I don't like it I'm left with a non-linear brake input that sends max signal before max travel is reached
Great branding, feels like a real racing driver. Tbh I had issues with the Alpine Stars pedal cam, it was kinda dark for me to see the pedal inputs, it's waaaaay better now, thanks.
look good. I build, fix and setup guitars as another hobby. Would love to see some more on what you got hanging behind you ;) Constantly amazes me the number of IT or ex IT folks that are musicians especially in the coding and Systems Architecture field. Take care mate.
Haha yep for sure. IT brained people are very often also musically talented. I might put together a video on the guitars soon I think. A few people have been asking.
For sure i will get those gloves, i already brought a Boosted Media hoody, Boosted Media all the way my friend! You win to get more exposure, and you should!
Recently discovered your channel and i've actually been thinking about getting some gloves thanks to you. My hands are massive tho so i'm not too sure how i'd go with that Keep up the great work man; home the family is well :-)
@@boostedmedia Haha yeah my hand almost covers my G29 so it's a bit hard to drive 😂 Yep i went straight over to the website and i'm currently trying to find a ruler thingy
I should use gloves more often as I get calluses and I get more feel out of bare feet. When I remember I put on my bike gloves ( the summer version and not the heavy winter ones ) but its getting the buttons and keyboard strokes correct.....I sometimes wear just plain cotton gloves to stop the mouse and other controllers getting "greasy". I dont like order boots online because getting the right fit can be a pain.....basicially 8 1/2 or 9 and no idea about 44/45/46/ ( assume its metric )
Waited about 6 weeks to get mine, they fell apart straight away, the inside layer, even the bottom rubber has worn a big dint and left black marks and rubber bits all over my pedals. They've been stringing me out so far for a further two months now with sending replacments that apparently where nearly ready 8 weeks ago. Very unhappy with this experience. I don't recommend. They certainly need to lift their game from a business point of view .
I "drive" with thin socks and no gloves...maybe Im to primitive...hahaha.. for me, I use special wear is when I practice downhill (shoes, gloves, helmet, knee protrction, etc).. there it really matters (in comparision)
Random question, but does it get hot in your sim room? I race in my bedroom which has a window but even then the heat from all my gear tends to warm up the room. It's worse in VR. Do you have this problem?
I learnt that picking the best room in the house is vital for summer months, the room which my sim rig is in has the afternoon sun on both outer walls. This plus the small room with all the gear does make for being the hottest room in the house. I'll be moving soon so not bothered at the moment but in the new house I will pick a sim room more wisely.
I bought these gloves and found them like wearing a wet suit over your hand. Way too thick and very stiff. You can barely feel the buttons and rotary knobs. Quite disappointed as I can’t wear them and had my name custom printed etc. So back to using my Sparco Land race gloves.
$70 with shipping for Sim gloves.. No thanks, that's highway robbery. There's no way anyone should consider getting these as you can get bmx/mountain bike gloves which are just as good for $30-40.
Yeah but normally shipping is a lot cheaper and they have better grip, they have specially designed fingers and are lighter so that you can gain as much advantage as you can in racing because they're not just for sim racing you can use them in real life.
Shipping may be further for us but we also tend to get ripped off in general. Manufacturers believe all Australians are wealthy.

Do they look cool? Yes
Do I want some? Yes
Should it be a high priority? Hmm they’re cheaper than others bits of sim gear that I want...
Haha sounds like my kinda logic. Will make a dent in the other stuff you’re saving for though. ;)

how long did they take to arrive? i’ve ordered mine over 6 weeks ago and there not sending me no updates on it
With the racing shoes, how much gap do you have from the big toe to the end of the boot?? Should they be very snug?
Just getting around to watching this video. But is Abruzzi AU dead now?
bought mine months ago and love them. i gained 2 seconds in f1 2019 hokenheimring because i could brake harder
Is it better with short gloves or long gloves from Abruzzi?

How does the sizing come up. Would a Uk10 be a 45?
The links for the boots and the gloves no longer work. Can they be fixed?
Unfortunately not. We’ve been waiting on the doc resolve issues with the product quality for 2 years now. We’ll update when the issues are fixed

Sizing.... how does sizing compare with Australia sizing standards? Y'know how Small in Australia would be an XXL in Japan.... that kind of thing...
Never mind... I found their sizing chart....it's self explanatory
