Awesome video! Your entire "Laws of Light" series is very, very, very good. Top notch. I had to watch the video 3 times, though, to stop noticing the model and concentrate on the gun.
So nice, I am learning about angle of incidence = angle of light - then your video pops up. The secrete increment for me was using a mirror to get the angle correct. Thank you.
Good lesson! Interesting... angle of incidence,? Call me uninformed, I've never heard this term before although I get the understanding of the 45 degree lighting. of shiny objects.
Sorry, but the openings of the cylinder and the diameter of the barrel does not look like a "bb" gun. Found it. Pellet gun. Nice simulation, really nice.
why not show how to hold a small card up to find your angle of incidence ? keep the light on, hold the card until it creates a shadow on the part of the gun that you want lit, and presto.....that's where you secure the reflector (in that position) by clipping it to a light stand or any other mans of support - no mirrors needed :-)

@@TheSlantedLens I know. I've been following you for long enough. You are one of few channels providing content, not cheap talk.
How would you light very large stainless steel objects like the silver pot you started with?
@@raulalaris How large are you talking about?
Thanks for sharing. The videos that you produce on off-camera lighting I find to be most valuable.

Great video... Thanks. But what I learned most is that SKB does not pay its interns! So I am only buying Pelican!
We were not aware of that, but we trust their cases.
Sorry, but the openings of the cylinder and the diameter of the barrel does not look like a "bb" gun.

" angle of incidence equals angle of reflection "
Yes, it is the same thing. When you put a mirror on your subject matter you will see your light source in the mirror.
why not show how to hold a small card up to find your angle of incidence ? keep the light on, hold the card until it creates a shadow on the part of the gun that you want lit, and presto.....that's where you secure the reflector (in that position) by clipping it to a light stand or any other mans of support
