How To Apply Eye Drops to Dogs In a Stress Free Way

- In this video, I'm sharing how I apply eye drops to Rambo using a low-stress approach. This video has minimal edit to show you the time I spent with Rambo to get him comfortable. This is where all the cooperative care training comes into play. This approach is all about teaching dogs to be active participants in their own care routines. It's like teamwork between you and your dog, focusing on their comfort and well-being. We're using green tea, a natural remedy, to soothe his eye.
Back Story:
8 years old German Shepherd Rambo, seems to have a minor case of conjunctivitis. Luckily there is no excessive scratching or weird discharges. We took a quick snapshot of his right eye and sent it over to our vet. They recommended that we keep an eye on him and hold off on a vet clinic visit for now.
As I was researching natural remedies hoping to reduce the inflammation, I stumbled upon @VeterinarySecrets, and I really love his approach in using natural remedies. Green tea is one of the natural remedies he mentioned in treating eye infection in dogs.

I wonder how much time you send each day with Rambo. In one of your videos you said "coming home after 12 hours working day". I am sure there are other family members too, but what is the average time you spend with Rambo.
@@elkebartsch9993 it really depends because I have very random schedule during the week. The good thing is my parents live with me. So they keep Rambo company when I’m away. On days when I work 10-12 hours (usually on the weekend), I try my best to bring him to the park at least 30mins. And we do some short training session at home for about 20 mins. But I don’t work like that all the time. Sometimes I work half a day or just a few hours lol (I’m in the beauty industry and I make my own schedule). Starting from this month, I take either Monday or Tue off. I don’t really have an exciting social life 😂 My day off is for Rambo only. I’m that girl who only wants to spend time with my dog on my day off lol

I see a better way to take care of his eye. Get please a cotton swabs, same like you use taking make up off your face, and wash his eyes twice a day. He's so sweet big boy. ❤
