    Actually you are not allowed to hang your clothes on the balcony, it makes the view outside look horrible. Most people here dry clothes indoors or we have a laundry room to hang clothes under the fan, it will dry quickly

    And youtubers (some) say bangkok is cheaper than kl? People look for value for money nowadays. Some is 50 usd per night but those are super condos. Kl is also called the mini dubai (affordable luxury).
    For high end tourists. They can try merdeka 118's park hyatt end of 2024.
    I am happy you found good shelter and not cheap hostels.

    If you don't mind running the aircond 24/7 I sometimes find drying indoor in the aircond to be faster than drying outside if there's no sun. In my house we dry indoor under ceiling fans just because the rain is sometimes unpredictable and we're not always home.

      I agree I prefer an old school style apartment/home to a modern style condo building like this any day. I’m a sucker for a sauna and gym but if I can get those nearby somewhere that works just as well. Ideally I want a stand alone home with a bit of yard / private space

    Hi! I like the phrase, 'affordable luxury' rather than use cheap...cheap...everytime. Cause Malaysian not everyone can afford it. With an average of RM1500/month salary who could ever afford it. Perhaps husband and wife or young couple with sharing incomes. Not include their monthly cost such as electricity, water, internet, sanitation(indah water), gas(cooking), petrol, parking, car/motorcycle loan, or monthly transportation card, food, perhaps if there are balance for insurance, saving, shopping and entertainment. Well to live comfortably at least a person need to earn RM4k or USD1k, in big town like KL. Not everyone can earn that amount if they work in the company. It just like you need to work more hours if you are a GRAB driver. Coz that amount of salary is a manager income. Not everyone can be a manager and not everyone can work as blue colar worker or rough neck. US will have Hispanics and others, just like Dubai with Indians/Pakistanis and same goes to UK. While Malaysia with Indonesians and Bangladeshies. While others are welcome in different workforce or expertise. Just some sharing.

    • @benfishermin
      @benfishermin  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yea true, this is definitely not so affordable for the average person. For myself signing a contract I’d look for something half of this price if I could, and do away with the building amenities. I live on around 1k-1.2k usd /mo and it doesn’t feel like a lot of money 😵

I know it is damn dirty to throw dirty toilet paper in a bin next to your toilet bowl. Malaysian toilet bowls are very big. Our sewerage system can also take sanitary pads lol. Sometimes get stuck. Even pythons crawl up using the hole. Amazing malaysia.
