Good.But it become tedious when you have number of measures in the report/dashboard to create seperate measures for this workaround.
Yes you are right! This should be added as a feature.

Similar approach is required. or you can also have a combined year month slicer

Trying to think outside the box here….what if you use Dynamic Formatting to solution 1 and make the “Current Month” formatted as the Year-Month column.
Dynamic datatype is not available for columns. However, If you are thinking to make actual current month name as dynamic selection with solution 1 which we are doing in solution 2. then there is a problem.
In Power BI native slicer, once jun 2023 is selected, it will not automatically release that selection to auto select july 2023 by any way even there is no data for that selection, and we need to manually unselect and select the next month.
