Now for the character I only used it one's for many game's before so in a way I never needed to change. Now the new game thing now that's kinda stupid in a way. It's greed people all large gaming company's do it. Assassin's creed single player game's have this and people still bought the game the division 1&2 has these kind of things still people bought it and played it even call of duty game's have this as well and yet people still bought it? At the end of the day you have a choice you can buy the game or not buy the game. You can choose to buy the microtransaction stuff because your lazy and cheap or beat the game without it it might take longer but it's worth it.

I didn't hear anyone flipping out over Tales of Arise having microtransacctions that literally give you level boosts. None of these transactions are integral to the game, they are for people that want an easier time of it or who want to get through it faster. it would be one thing if this was an online multiplayer game that would give one person an advantage over someone that didn't pay for the additional items, but all this stuff just makes it a little bit easier. But, if you are like me, you will just play through the game without them. If this game is anything like the first you will end up with way too many port crystals and wakestones, etc. just from regular gameplay. The only advantage to havng a bunch of rift crystals is to hire a pawn of a higher level than you.

Microtransactions in gaming more specifically non mobile games will continue to happen as long as people keep buying them. Just like when the concept of DLC was introduced. These predatory practices are here to stay and until gamers start looking themselves as well as "insert company" for blame we're going to keep seeing these issues.

It was nice to alleviate a little bit of grind but if you wanted you could use it to get to level 100 in like the first area. I do plan to use it when Vengeance comes out though. • @ragmanx6256
    @ragmanx6256 Před měsícem +1

The MTX in this game aren't really that disruptive to begin with. I see A LOT of over the top rage baiting for clicks out there for what's been overall a relatively innocuous implementation of these things which we've already seen for other Capcom titles. The AC games comparison is very pertinent here to establish proper context. DD2 hasn't felt grindy at all compared to those games in my experience, and I'm usually someone who doesn't mind a bit of grinding, but AC definitely felt excessively pushy with their time savers. We can only speculate on whether DD2 has been deliberately set to push players there or not, but I suppose that's contingent on each player's self control and their tolerance for a grind, and to an extent, the same could be said about AC titles. I'm just having fun, but I agree people should definitely vote with their wallets if they find this to be out of line. Such is the beauty of the free market, after all.

The game was probably in the works pre nex-gen consoles. I would definitely understand if it took keeping putting off the game until the time and money was right to get back into developing the game.
Micro transactions are not the issue, but an option for when the player don’t feel like traveling all the terrains and rocky mountains to get them. The game isn’t going to have a save file. And I believe that is a smart move, because making a save file system would’ve made the game huge and more expensive to make, so saving the game occurs when you rest in an inn.
If people can actually read what goes behind the studios, then there wouldn’t be such outrage against Capcom, because Capcom is not like most AAA Western gaming studios that use micro-transactions to push the game forward.
If they were going to screw people for money, they wouldn’t be screwing Japanese gamers in the process, too. Capcom is very trusting because they gave you the option to play the game for what it is and to choose a doc when the game is very difficult for the player.
And the good thing is, the DLC is not the whole game and prices for each DLC is a few cents to about $3. What is there to really be angry at Capcom about?

I really don’t think its a big deal and I think reviewers like Cowboy who absolutely love the series and love the game and from my watchtrough of his game plays, I don’t think it affected him at all whether MTX existed or not. Unlike say Assassins Creed Odyssey, I don’t think game play is setup to push players to purchase in any way. I think it helps expand the audience to players who might want more help i.e. less experienced and/or not used to the DD play style. That being said, I agree Capcom and the reviewers should have disclosed it, but only because clearly everyone underestimated what a big deal it would be. For me, this is just a fantastic game that 100% lives up to what I was expecting and was so friggin happy that a DD2 exists at all and that it turned out amazing. It’s sad to see it being bashed for MTX. Again, I see nothing in the game play that is different from the first one that would push players to purchase so if you don’t like MTX, don’t buy it, but I wouldn’t down vote the game because of it.
Performance issues on pc are another thing. I have zero noticeable issues on PS5. We do have a PC player in the same house and he can see some issues (using 3070) but nothing even remotely game breaking. PC players, with beefy rigs definitely want to see the impact of the dollars forked out for the beef in games so I get why FPS shifts that the average PC player might not notice at all without an FPS counter being on the screen e.g. do not break the immersion or the experience, are a big deal to them. Could be that these days my expectations for PC optimization by companies has fallen, but I do tend to assume that the first few months will have issues on PC for the most part.

100% game design structure is impacted. Even if it is not egregious, you know it is in the development conversations and the structure of in-game systems. It is not just thrown in without thought at the last minute. Capcom has been doing this with many of their games.
At a minimum, they a forcing casual gamers to pay for things that somewhat create an easy mode. Whether you are in favor of or against difficulty modes this is not okay.
Lastly, Candy Crush is free. I cannot conceptualize what would drive a person to buy anything in game BUT if you don’t want your play time interrupted you can AND it is highly profitable bc people do.
You could argue that Capcom including these systems in all their games is actively trying to build an addiction to MTX systems and normalizing their use.

Maybe it's really not a matter of eventual implementation, but rather a slow transition away from these micro-transactions as certain games released in poor states either because of them or that they were originally designed with them in mind. I’m playing the game right now. I really like it. I don’t have internet where I live so microtransactions don’t affect me at all. I wouldn’t even know they existed if it weren’t for all the online videos and comments. The game is fun for me and I really like it. It’s sad to me that these little things available to purchase for people who are too lazy to actually play the game is going to take this from potential game of the year to one of the lowest rated. Sad. Those few things available for purchase don’t seem worth the “renown” loss this game is going to receive. These few microtransactions in no way make my individual single play through bad, negative or worse or unfair.
I rarely buy games day one and I don’t buy more than 2 or 3 new games a year just due to cost, lack of time, and lack of internet availability where I live in rural USA.
The game also looks and works fine on my PS5 Slim so I don’t see what everyone is upset about.
Based on my experience with the game so far, I’d give it a solid 8/10 or 88/100.
The last game I bought and played was BG3, and that is a 10/10 or a 100/100 imo.

With the abysmal state the game launched in, the youtuber reviews were very deceptive in their reviews based on that alone, and I have unsubscribed from all of them I was regularly watching. I am not sure if they were just trying to get clicks, or were paid off, they were being deceptive. I have not bought an acceptable new game in the last two years and the state of the video game industry is awful right now. I am no longer playing new games. I have gone back and handpicked older games I have not played yet and upgraded my expanded hard drives on both my consoles so that I can install off physical discs and get the patches, they call it a day with ever buying new. I have no intention of ever uninstalling games because I now have tbs of space and older games are smaller anyway. All these studios that keep engaging in predatory practices can screw themselves. To the people in the comment section, tell me: how could people complain about RE 4 Remake microtransactions if they weren't there when the game came out? Because it wasn't a really long game, and they didn't add microtransactions until two weeks after release, by the time most people were done with the game, and the reviews were already there, so... why are you guys comparing that to Dragon's Dogma 2's release?
Other than that, I agree with those who think people are just complaining about that because the game is poorly optimized. If it wasn't, they would probably be enjoying the game a lot more and not be able to focus on the negative. I've seen that in the past, with other titles. If the game is good, well optimized and you don't need any microtransactions, no one cares if they are there. The problem is something that was easy to see coming, and I was warning people about for over a month now, which is: the game has CPU load issues.
