This is a once in a lifetime performance because I don't know with everything that happened to her at that time if she could replicate this performance. They talk about good singers there's no odd tune there's nothing to hide the brilliance of her performance

It's YEBBA...not YABBA. She is from Memphis, Arkansas. She has a Tiny desk concert which is 4 live cuts from her first album (Dawn) which will blow you away. Also, her live version of Boomerang is fantastic. You've only just begun, keep going, you won't regret it.

She has a lot of amazing stuff, and i really recommend checking out ‘evergreen’ (the apple music cut).
she wrote my mind after a breakup, still pretty raw. she’s just a kid here; 21 years old. it’s hard to see her in such an emotional place here, and unfortunately her story does get a lot harder. some people said in the comments but to clear the timeline, she lost her mom in the weeks after this performance to suicide.
It’s something she talks about openly and often, and a lot of her music is about her mom. Evergreen is the first original song she recorded after my mind, and it’s directly addressed to mom
it’s also gorgeous and touching and a bop, so i really recommend that one next. You can’t miss with her though so whatever’s next it’ll be good

This always makes me cry because knowing the meaning of her songs being cheated on and then losing your momma after the fact heartbreaking she is a strong woman for sure I was in a abusive relationship 7yrs ago he was physically, sexually, and emotionally and 6yrs ago I was in a toxic relationship we're he used mean words virbally abusive and both of them cheated difference is the first one hit me and SA me the other just used ugly hurtful words but both cheated first one was with my ex family friend and the other guy cheated with a friend of his he grew up with he was long distance the first guy was face to face the first guy is still in jail the other is not but he got cheated on too and tried getting me back but it was to late I had met my fiancee boyfriend at the time took him 1yr to realize he wanted me not hi best friend who cheated but I got the help I needed and in the process found my person and both are pissed about the karma

You are in for a treat! It´s yeh-bba. The singer/songwriter of a generation in my opinion....Ella, Aretha, Joni, Chaka, Jazmine. I discovered her during the lockdown. She is magic! Her first album came out in September of this year. Produced by Mark Ronson (has produced Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars...). The album is called "Dawn" which refers to a new day for her as well as the name of her mother. She lost her to suicide a week after My mind was recorded live. The video blew up and she subsequently donated all the proceedings to a national foundation for mental health research. She has done so many collaborations these past four years....like I said you are in for a treat! Thanks for the reaction!

That she couldn't sing song again because it did make her think about her mom.. but I'm just repeating crap I've heard.. and I feel it's none of my business.. but whatever she digs into emotionally in this and all her songs I hope it's cathartic and helps her.
