Is Gronk the best tight end of all-time?
Nope
Yes
Yes
Marcelo Chauvet are you serious
Definitely the most dominant but as far as goat tony Gonzalez had the longevity.
Smart decision for Gronk. Go enjoy life while your body is still in tact (for the most part). Great career Gronk. Enjoy yourself now
Joe Knows I didn’t know you would be here. What’s good bro
When you going use the 5’7 pure sharp
Didn’t know you watch skip and shanon
Cash King fr me either
Joe Knows I’m betting his body is pretty damn bad, already. I bet he has a choice of walking at 50 or keep on playing. He’s set a great legacy, and he should preserve what’s left for enjoying what his hard work has brought him.
Speaking facts
Who is back after he won it again with Tom and two touchdowns
Two tuddies!!!
Tuddie buddies
Me unfortunately.
Chiefs fan 🤣
The game plan for him for the year was excellent. I kept wanting him to dominate but was worried about him getting hurt. They used him sparingly w blocking etc which was huge and then as always he shows up when needed most in biggest moment. Loved it
2 tuddies?
Coming from Shannon about being a HOF "NO QUESTION" is huge, HUGE.
Agreed, no hesitation either. Sharpe doesn't just loosely use HOF credentials.
I think Shannon ate his wheaties this morning
He's a 1st ballot hall of famer
A_Notes..So a TE that played 9 seasons, has 5 Pro Bowls, 3 Super Bowls Rings and had the most receptions by a TE 3 years in a row is an automatic 1st ballot hall of famer? Jay Novacek would like to a have a word with you
@@snwlcke3 you just proved my point lol.
Why is he not a 1st ballot hall of famer to you im curouis
Haha what a badass. Entered the NFL hurt, played hurt, and left hurt with a Super Bowl as the most dominant tight end ever. All while hurt. Crazy.
@H Az Bro if Shay Sharpe is TELLING YOU that Gronk is the most dominant TE ever, you listen.
@H Az Shannon knows he never threw a block in his life and that's why Gronk is the best. Gronk did both. Shannon was a match-up nightmare because the defensive coordinators of his day thought he was a TE based on where he lined up. They should have always treated his team like they were playing with 3 or 4 wide. yeah, you're smaller but that biggish guy over there ain't there to block. Get out of that base D and win.
Imagine if Gronk wasn’t hurt would be insane
@@QDibieYT bro imagine gronk with oj this year, like he’s going to take a lot less hits
Gronkowski played nine years in the NFL five of them he ended up playing in the Super Bowl ....
Lol ok he played with Brady
He did that by himself?
@@The__Nation Yeah i Agree
Francisco Davis no but he was a big part in all of them
You can't short change him. Even last season when they needed the biggest plays of the season it was Gronk that they went to.
Gronk may not have the longevity stats of some of the other great TE’s, but i’m taking him in his prime over any of them.
Sterling sharp
Gates
Gonzalez
Dallas clark
For a big guy he is soft
Tony Gonzalez, Shannon Sharpe, and Gronk is the closest argument for the GOAT of a postion in the NFL.
Sterling sharp
@@caesartaylor7936 Sterling was a WR
Keelen Winslow
Tony 1 Shannon 2 Gronk 3 imo
Antonio gates?
Gronk is a Madden made player. 6'6 with TE blocking skills and receiver abilities
MTB4L all time great madden player. I’ve played against plenty of people that complain that he’s a cheat code lol
MTB4L probably even better lol
Ong, bunch of gronks and Calvin Johnson s on the outside
I'm also 6'6, 255 lbs.
Greysen Gagne congrats! Give me a couple of inches lol.
I respect Shannon even more for that.
Great career for gronk, sad injuries cut it short but he’s already one of the greats so thank you gronk for everything 🙏
Injuries cut it short? He walked away voluntarily. His agent said that he will return if the Patriots need him; he's not as "beat up" or damaged as you think
Trying To Pick A Good Username boy the man was running like he had a piano on his back. His body probably could handle a year or two but it’s better to call it quits while he can still stand up straight.
Who knows. If anything different happened we might not have even been blessed with watching him play as much
@@Edaf304 I understand that. Fair enough
So nice CZcams decided to recommend this now after a great season and 2 TDs in SB
Here after he caught “two tuddies” to win another Chip at Tampa.
Damn he is only 29?!?! Football is brutal!
john doe also, our bodies aren’t meant to be that big and muscled. Just being that big is doing damage to his body, especially his leg joints.
I saw a piece many years ago that said American professional football takes 7 years off your life expectancy
Yeah but it took at least 2 people to take him down sometimes and they needed to hit him hard too
@@vharris5503 but increases your life quality when it comes to fame and money.
Hence the ridiculous salaries they make...
Gronk made the right call. Hes set forever.
All his earnings from the NFL haven't been touched. He's only been using sponsorship money, Definitely set. He maybe a party animal but he knows when tk take things seriously.
@@DRAG0NSIN7 I thought I'd heard that but wasnt positive. Hoping for some WWE Cameos or Make him Pat McAfee a commentary pairing
Hope he goes to Monday Night Football. Gronk commentating would be legit awesome
Andrew Furyk As long as he continues to manage his money well.
This is extremely funny after Super Bowl LV.
Came back and won a ring after 2 touch downs
What’s a touchdown? We call them tuddies
Gronk came back and got another ring 💍. GOAT among the T.E.
Gronkowski did the smartest thing. He left while he could still walk and remember his name go enjoy your retirement young man. If I'm correct after seven years you get a pension from the NFL so Gronkowski is set long as he is financially smart
saviron hipps he didn’t spend any of his NFL salary. He would only spend his “extra” money. Kid is smart with his money. Or has a good advisor
saviron hipps supposedly he never even touched salary just his signing bonus.
@@gdeus1376 young dude is smart bro lol I underestimated him due to his party hard attitude I thought he was splurging
He's set anyway. Gronk hasn't spent a penny of his contract, he's been living off endorsements.
@@bold4christ236 I think after 4 years they get a pension, the span of average NFL career.
I appreciate Shannon for showing the Pro Wrestlers some respect.
Yes wrestling may be staged and scripted but like football it can damaged the bodies and shortened careers. Look at Stone Cold Steve Austin he wrestled since the late 80s five with wcw, year and a half with ecw and 8 with wwf/wwe while he was on his prime in 97 he suffered a near catastrophic neck injury that almost permanently paralyzed him but still won the match against the late Owen Hart when he got his feeling back. He got neck problems back and forth and retired from in ring competition if he didn't got that injury he could have lasted a bit longer
@@thenewjord50 Bro you earned my respect with all your evidence and not saying it's fake like other idiot's do shout out to you
The cauliflower ears
No doubt man, mick foley is a walking miracle
The way people tackles Gronk was just sickening as a Patriots fan. That acl tear I think we all saw that in slow motion smh... CONGRATZ GRONK THE GOAT
I just realized we were watching a Hall of Famer and now that man has retired. Wow.
Thought the same 20 secs before I saw your comment
I like turtles...
Zakarias De Leon you just realized he’s a HoF’er?
Yup another ring
I am in no way a Patriots fan, but Gronk was special! He's one of the best all around football players I have ever seen. I am glad he is getting out for his health. Good luck Gronk!
lol who’s here after tom and gronk balled out in super bowl LIV and put mahomes away?
GREAT hands...GREAT blocking....GREAT awareness running routes...GREAT after catching the ball...GREAT teammate...GREAT on 3rd down...GREAT athlete...Gronk was a GREAT NFL player period
your health mentally and physically is irreplaceable. money wont buy it, rings wont hide it. im so happy for gronk. going out with a SB win, as the best ever, with time to fully enjoy life.
K W
Very well put.
PREACH!
Whose hear after Gronk and Tom both in the SB with bucs 🔥🔥
Gronk was the first positionless player NFL had ever seen
One week he's playing TE
Next week he's basically playing O-line when they needed to run the ball all game
Next week he's playing out wide with the DBs
Truly great player in every facet of the game
Lol he played allot of positions but no bruh plenty of players have done more... Ex. Troy brown.
And then he came back and won his 4th ring
When you realize that it was just Gronk putting the team on his back.
Every team in the AFC: “THANK GOD! Just one more to go!” Next statement after respecting Gronk. Good show, HOF
The New England patriots greatest ability is to adapt to the weapons they have and change their play style
2011 and 2014 was his best years
One of the GOATS!! The most dominating TE ever. Great career, go enjoy your life Gronk!!
H Az
No way! As great as Shannon was, he even had to concede. Watch the video again. Gronk is the most dominant TE ever. He’s revolutionized the position. He opened the door for guys like Zach Ertz and Travis Kelcie.
@H Az
Here, have some chicken and watermelon, boy.
remember this is coming from one of the best tight ends ever in Shannon Sharpe
Could you imagine Aaron Hernandez if he would’ve never done what he did? Him and gronk on the same field at the same time over all these years together? Geeeeez
Lee Bostic they would’ve traded one of em
hernandez was trash just like most people from New England
The 2 headed Monster i miss those days no defensive coordinator had no answer to stop those 2 i believe Gronks career would've been a little longer 💯
Ty Nao W O W... you’re definitely not just a biased hater, that opinion is totally valid
Ty Nao u suck at life
Shannon "he went to Jared"
Skip "yeah he went to Aaron"
Who’s here after 2TDs in SB 55?
He just won another ring Shanon 😂
I love how they digging so deep into his retirement but dude just wanted to play with Tom only and accidentally retired 💀😂
Yes sir. Absolutely right.
We gone miss my buddy Gronk but we all understand the physical problems also but you played well and we appreciate your loyalties to the Patriots and your legacy and #87 Jersey will hang high and be ducted in the Hall of Fame of Football.
I was not surprised Gronk decided to walk away...while he still can. He is a young man who made a quality of life decision. I can not fault him for that one bit. I was shocked when they said after 9 seasons. Maybe I am alone on this..but, with what he has been on the field and off...how often we heard about his numbers, and his just plain dominance for years...it sure seemed to me like he had been in the league longer than 9 years. i am not a Patriots fan, but, in 9 years, he left a mark on the league that took other guys far longer to make. It really feels like Gronk has been around got 15-20 years. I know he has not been the same guy in games recently..but, he is not one you just replace.
It is completely unfair to compare generations to each other for the very reason you said. It was a different era..different game. You can not just pick players from any period in time and place them in another. Not anymore. Not with the rule changes of recent years... I know everyone likes to try to do that..or say this guy could play in any era...no. Today's players would get destroyed if you go 30+ years back, and anyone from then prior would be banned form the league before week 4 today. Maybe NBA ir MLB players could play in multiple generations, but not the NFL. You don't even have to go back 20 years and the game is totally different. Football players can only play the game the way it is in their time...None of these guy would walk away from a season 30+ years ago and earlier. If i had to even try to pick a position that could play back then..maybe linemen....maybe. BIG MAYBE.
When you can take off whole seasons and come back in the playoffs fresh year after year and win multiple Super Bowls, you won at life
He just won another SB Lmao
Gronk is the Calvin Johnson of tight ends. Randy T.O. and jerry rice are the legends. But watching megatron made us believe he could have been the greatest thing we ever watched at the position at a physical level. They both got out early.
Going out on top. Best te ever.
Thanks for the memories Bro class act go enjoy ur life i didnt think he was going to retire as a fan i respect it.God Bless
The reason teams are “giving up” on Cook is because he’s one dimensional, he’s a great receiving TE but that’s about all he’ll give you. Teams want TE’s that can block.
Shannon speaking the truth
Fast forward 2 years and Gronk walks away with a 2 Touchdown Super Bowl championship win!!! lmao
I wouldn't be surprised if he came back!! He's still young and if he feels good in August who knows what could happen.
Gronk was clutch and he goes out a winner with the best memory of making the difference in the game. What a way to go out??
Shannon was right! Wrestling is definitely harder on your body than football is
who's here after he just played a full 19-game season with no injuries and got 2 td's and the win in super bowl 55
Was nice to see sharpe give respect to Gronk
He hurt my Giants so many times congratulations on a wonderful career 🎊
When? The giants own new England
@@deecurry392 👀
Only to come out of retirement and win another championship!
you speak men and yes confidence is everywhere always love
I love it when Shannon and Skip agree on a topic
Smart decision by gronk. Now he can now enjoy his money, still young, and body still good
I love Shannon to death but when he talks skip doesn’t bud in and start talking . Every time skip talks “but skip” lmao skip be like “ okay I got it” 😭😂
#GoatJames # skip moans the whole time
Definitely agreed to the both of you. But Shannon goes first as it is and already talks for the first 5-7 mins witch I have no problem with I just thinks it’s hilarious how skips turn is still Shannon’s turn 😭🎯
Dats a paddlin correction most times
Came back and won his fourth...shannon be gracious and acknowledge
*@**3:48** LMAO I lost it 😂🤣🤣😂😂😂*
Two Tuddies?!
I'm watching this after he came back and won another Superbowl with Tom Brady with the Bucs
Shannon make me laugh when he say "" dont do that skip" 😂😂😂
Gronk: i'm back baby
Three Rings, Stats, Records. Greatest Tight End Ever To Do It! Size, Strength, Blocked, Physical, mismatch’s on defenses there was just no stopping him. It’s bitter sweet his retiring. GRONK characteristic personality is one of the best ever! Clutch player. Game changer. He could play in any decade. At the end just one of the most dominating player ever in his possession. First ballot Hall OF Fame!

Gronk the goat of TE. I've watched him block a prime jj by himself multiple times
Here after superbowl 55 in short DAMN SON!
"THE BADDER" come on SHA
Skip is mad because he wished Witten was just a quarter of what Gronk is
UNC always keeping it real. Wish I knew Shannon in real life lol
As a long time non fan of the Patriots I will say congratulations to big Gronk. Enjoy your rings, enjoy your retirement enjoy your life. Good luck
I'm going to miss seeing the Brady to gronk connection and gronk spiking the ball
TRUE
Fast forward just over 9 months. Wow. How things can change.
Cooks is prob the most underrated Brady receiver. Glad they only had 1 year together
I’d rather have a good back for the rest of my life than play an extra 2 years of football.
Good decision Gronk, can’t wait to see what he does on TV
Well, he retired because Bill wanted to ship him out to lions. Now he wins another super bowl with his QB
Here from when Tom and gronk on the Bucs are playing chiefs in the super bowl 55!
Grind is a legend and his has more than proven his self
The Patriots should get Rashawn Ross or Charles Johnson from the AAF
Shannon "he went to Jared"
I wouldn't say ever but definitely of this era
Thanks for everything Gronk!
This man said he lived off endorsements hasn't cash no NFL checks he can retire Happy
Are we all forgetting about Tony Gonzalez?
No. He’s second best ever. Gronk is clearly better though
Who's that?
You mean that guy that Shannon clowns when he's on the show? 😁
Eric Wright Sharp, Gonzales, Gates...
Gronk went out on his terms and while he still has the body to walk away. As Bob Hope would say "Thanks For The Memories" and Gronk, God bless in all that comes your way Sir.
Give props when it’s due!
At their peaks, gronk is the best TE of all time
Who's still watching in 2021?
GOD BLESSE GRONK!! He could play 1 more year. Those blocks he did in important games could help the defense.
One of the very best TE's in history!
Skip is a bigger Patriots fan then cowboys fan its fact
Tom Brady* fan

BEST tight end ever. Change that title.
The best ability is availability Gronk didn’t have it

Eh...most dominant in his prime, but Gonzales did it with no QBs and put up better numbers.
