I really, really like the new design of Camera Raw. I not only like the way it looks, but it allows for a much more efficient work flow. Additionally, in PS the improvement in subject select is quite impressive, especially in the selection of hair. Great updates for June 2020!
It's refreshing to hear someone properly pronounce ISO instead of thinking it's an acronym. For anyone curious, ISO is short for the Greek word 'isos' meaning 'equal'.
G McBride isn’t that International Standards Organisation? ASA was American Standards Association as I remember it. ISO =equal really doesn’t ring true.nAm I right?
Dominic Blackmore It’s not an acronym. It’s an actual name. The organisation is called the International Organisation for Standardisation. To avoid international language confusion they named the organisation ISO. It’s the actual name of the organisation.
In Camera Raw, double clicking the hand tool does not automatically fit the view to your window as before. I miss that feature specially when working with big images and you want to scale back and forth. Now you have to manually select "fit view" in the percentage option left under. Just my 2 cents :)
Always very useful info; I really like the fact that the CZcams video has "chapter marks" (or whatever you call them...) to allow me to scroll back to just the segment I want to review.
Thanks for your Channel about Photoshop tutorial and many more. . Continue until you will be old don't be tired. . .It's very helpful. ..praying for your good health, more blessings and more power God bless😃😃😃😃
Excellent explanation! Especially, the demonstration of the ISO adaptive presets - I had already read about this feature, but I hadn't seen a "real world" example yet. Thank you again!
Jesus! Looking good man! Over a mil in subscribers! Love the home studio setup. You popped up in my CZcams feed without me even searching for you. Keep up the great work!
Thank you, yet another helpful video that takes the work out of getting to grips with updates to Photoshop. My favourite, the improved selection tool as it is going to remove a lot of the heartache and time when making a selection of an object.
I really like that it is naturally closer between "Optics" and "Geometry" via the new tab system in Camera Raw. Hooray for this! However, I do miss that you can´t easily make a *copy of the current image* (including all adjustment you´ve done) in Camera Raw - *BUT for those who did not know* - right click on the image and select "Enhanced Details" and a copy is created after a while processing. I often use this as I want a darker and brighter (or other kind of distinguish) version of the same image so I can manually work with them together in Photoshop.
I was never a fan of the tiny icons in Camera Raw in previous Photoshops. ( a good reason to use Lightroom instead). The improvement is fantastic for PS. Now you get Lightroom like menu adjustments panel in Camera Raw.
Great video. Love the new updates! With camera raw getting a fresh upgrade.... what is the benefit to working in lightroom now? Seems like you can accomplish everything in PS using camera raw?!
... and it seems the performance is better now. I often got into trouble if both Bridge and Photoshop were up at the same time as Firefox went into the background. Now it looks like it is working well. Hurray!
Thanks for the very informative compilation! 🙌. The different subject detection at about 3:50, how could you do that? Did you explicitly check “do not remove older versions” prior to update?
I hope that when you press altkey that all cancels in any box will be reset it is not in the liquify filter. You have to press crtl and then it say default 😉 well thanks for the tutorial and I love that you can rotate the pattern 👍
Hi Jesus, I have benefited greatly from your videos, so thank you very much for your work. I actually have a video request. Let's say I want to change my kitchen backsplash. And before I commit to a particular design based on a small mesh mounted tile piece, I'd like to see how it would look on my kitchen walls when fully installed. So I'd like to use the photo of a sample mesh mounted tile to create a pattern (?) and essentially install the full backsplash using a photo of my kitchen in PS. Of course I want to have the flexibility of changing the photo of the sample tile easily so that I can try to see the results of multiple options with ease. How would you go about doing something like that? The closest video of yours that I could find is "How To Place ANYTHING in Perspective Non-Destructively in Photoshop" but in my case there is also the step of creating the repeating pattern and scaling it to fit an amorphously shaped wall area. Anyway, if you find this to be a potentially interesting tutorial, I would love to see what you do with it. Thank you again for all your great work.
Premier Pro, After Effects, Audition and Prelude are the exact same color, Photoshop and Fresco are the exact same color, Bridge went from bright yellow to straight black and White. What once was great is now over, way to go Adobe 👌👏👏
I actually prefer before the update, for example, when i transfer between illustrator to psd or vice versa, there will be a certain app lag between the two, it is not as seemless as the previous one
Great video, will you do more Camera Raw tutorials? I was playing around with it yesterday and found you can have same image next to each other to get a before and after.
Niestety Photoshop wykasował mi po aktualizacji pędzel z logo oraz akcje Dana Margulis. Musiałem część odzyskać pozostał mi jeszcze pędzel z logo. Natomiast pozostałe opisane funkcje są OK. Pozdrawiam z Polski
Love it all!! "Behind the scenes"!! I noticed right away! So much easier to use the software, it was really getting annoying I was looking for something else. Can not say what a difference this has made for me.
Hey Jesus - I'm always leery of updates (not only b/c of possible new bugs, but also re: my old setups). With this June update to ACR & Ps CC: (1) Will any of the Actions I've installed from the Web (vs Adobe's stds) be impacted or deleted? (2) Ditto for any color coding I've done to specific Menu items in Ps CC - will they be wiped out (it would be killer if so) or Prefs settings? (3) Could it wipe out any of my (many) 3rd party plugins in the Filters menu? Or, Extensions? Thx!
I agree about the old icons standing out better on the taskbar. Annoys the Hell out of me when a vendor fiddles with stuff like that and makes it worse. The designer is probably in their early 20s with 20/20 vision.
After installing the update if a pattern fill was added the resolution was terrible. 100% was the only way to see it correctly. Text layers had absolutely poor resolution for text. Selecting CTRL+A and two text layers, then vertical align, a second copy of the text was added (NOT new layers) and moved the text leaving the original. It took zooming several times to some other zoom level before the original text disappeared. Doing an Auto Blend on 4 layers also added a Merge and Fill operation filling any transparent areas with stuff that didn't belong. It also silently changed my scaling options. Some of the things in camera raw are nice but moving the buttons was just creating a shiny new object. All in all a couple of things were nice but at the expense of messing up a bunch of other stuff wasn't worth it. Rolling back was the only solution.
Hello! hope you are well, I'm a DATADESH employee. I'm regular viewer and your tutorial is Really Great. I have a Question! This is much better if you attach a sample file to each tutorial for practice. Those who want to practice watching your tutorial. Hope you consider that. Thank you
Hello, are you able to make a video on how to remove a background from a photo..? I'm totally new on Adobe and the videos on CZcams are from the previous version. I'm trying to do a word cloud pic. I will appreciate it...
Where is the SAVE button that was in Camera Raw which was located in the bottom left hand side of the "panel" just below the vertical space where the thumbnails would be located. Was it eliminated???
Honestly, I think transforming ACR into Lightroom Develop Module UI and workflow is just not all what i wanted ... I can see the appeal of it, coming from a Lightroom user, but, that's the thing, Lightroom and Photoshop are two complety different tools with different workflows. I can understand that most people work with both Lightroom and Photoshop, but, if they are "merging" the Lightroom and the ACR, what's the need for Lightroom anyhow ? I find the redesign not working with my creative flow. In trying to harmonize the experience, all i can see now is that, i have to navigate to a lot of tabs when i could have everthing neatly placed where i intuitely would use. The rest of it, i like it, it's just this one detail i can't see where they are pushing towards ... Let's see ... Still. Great Video and Awesome tutorials ...
I must say I do prefer the look and layout of the old camera raw. This looks like Lightroom and I am not a huge fan of that. The old version worked so much better and faster for me.

the new camera is so amazing.... loved it. Do you think this camera raw is a replacement to LR?
adobe really has stepped up this time and finally are listening to the people, cant wait to dive in!
Just an FYI... your audio is clipping a lot. You may want to set the levels more conservatively. Great new look!
Thanks for all the knowledge
You're welcome, Jibran!
Thank you for your help and great explanations or the new main features. As always your are the best to explain new advances in Adobe
Thanks for subject selection explanation. I would never have notice if you didnt have explain it. Sorry for my bad English.

I really like the new algorithm in select subject and iso adaptive,
Great tutorial. I agree algorithum improved but not there for hair on arms for example.
ACR has been very improved. You showed me some aspect of ACR that I was not aware of. THANK YOU!!!
Jesús, thanks for your tutorial. So far it's the best I've seen about these new June 2020 PS changes. Saludos desde Madrid, Spain

I was missing a REGULAR font, NOT an Adobe font, and Adobe OFFERED to search for it... Pretty cool!
Really helpful.thanks! But is there something wrong with your voice track?
I like the icon with the outline better.
I really love some of the updates to camera raw because of the ease of use. Amazing video as always!
Excellent! Thank you!

Two thumbs up for CR interface and ANY improvement in the accuracy of selections is a winner.
Don’t use ACR that often as I RAW adjust in Lightroom Classic, but love the new look and feel of it.
Old icons show much better on my computer, a simple border would go a long way.
You forgot to add the Photoshop camera feature. I really loved that because now you can copy and see a color pallete of any image

I agree. I have to click more tabs to apply changes I'd made in the past.
Apart from editing RAW and other formats, the strength of Lightroom lies in its Library module. I simply can’t live without it..
