Be very careful about the candles that close to the curtains. My father was a fireman, he taught us to be extremely careful with csndles, never leave the room while they are burning. You could use battery operated candles there. Just a thought. GOD BLESS!

That's what I thought when I lit some tealight on a blanket shelf that had a wreath hanging over it. It was close either, but somehow, it caught the wreath on fire, and we had quite a bit of damage to our wall also. So please be careful!

I have 6 children (all adults now), but we too took them everywhere. When we would go to places, especially stores, I would tell them, “look with your eyes, not with your hands”. If they really wanted to check out something they wanted, they just had to ask, “can I please see that (fill in the blank)” and either my husband or I would get it for them so they could inspect it closer. It worked for us, and we all got to enjoy the shopping experience.
I love everything you do. Love your table display. Candlelight in a home is warm and inviting. Your sconce in your kitchen is from Home Interiors. I was with the company 12 years. I am concerned that your candles lite is close to your curtains. We learned to put just a dab of cooking oil or Pam on a paper towel and wipe a little in the bottom of the votive cup. That allows the burnt down candle to pop out easier. If your candle has a metal disk on the bottom of the candle to hold the wick never burn your candle where you can see it. That means your votive cup can get hot and burst glass. Just a safety tip. It's fun to watch videos and say oh that is a Home Interior piece.

I also was concerned when I saw the candle near the curtain. Love candlelight, but in this senior complex, we're not allowed. I buy the battery candles with a moving flame. They really look realistic. Your style is so like your moms. Love it. Kudos for teaching your kids how to behave in public areas. We sure need more of that in today's world.
It isn’t close to it! The rod doesn’t allow it to get any closer. I guess it looks that way on camera.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY Kelsey, Josh, boys, and feathered friends. GOLLY GEE there were some great prices. Being the youngest of 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls, our parent's taught us how we are taught at home is how we will act in public. So absolutely take them with you and it teaches them that every place is not for play, and we definitely were taught that in Church. STTB

When I worked in a shop I remember one family came in with small children,who immediately put their hands in their pockets while they were in the shop..it was much appreciated! As opposed to another woman who completely ignored her child who ran wild. Everytime she brought him in I’d take a bathroom break…!

I totally get that pitcher on the table and having to look around it. That annoys me when I put something big on ours too. I just love that light you bought...SO cute! The lights next to the curtain kinda scared me though. I'm sure the wind won't blow it, but those sparks scared me. Hope you have a wonderful week. Thanks for showing us around the antique store. Little ones can not learn behavior in a specific environment unless they are exposed to it. You little ones are adorable and you and Josh have raised them well. It's all about that family time no matter where you go!😊 Isn't it amazing changing decor on your table, that the whole experience changes❤

I appreciate the fact, that yall say yall take ur children with yall alot..when my husband and I, had our daughter...we didn't leave her any..we wanted her with us...lol..when she got married, and had her 2 boys...they stayed with us all the time..except at bed time. Lol .I ask her one day, I said Baby, you don't worry about leaving ur boys with us..she said NOPE.. I know what kind of Godly parents yall were to me, lol..they live on our property here, and the boys always wanted to stay with PopPop n granny..and til this day .ones 17, and the younger is 14...lol..we love it..they are our world too..I loved the candle lamp..it's so pretty..I'm a history girl too..never liked blue anything, until maybe a 6 months to a year ago maybe..but now I've been using some blue pieces in our home..I'm 61, and never thought I would ever use blue. But here I am, using blues...lol..I love ur little channel..thanks so much for sharing..

We always took our kids everywhere,they learned how to behave in antique shops and to appreciate them. They’re 34,32 and 21. And they’re teaching their kids to respect others property,etc. 😊

Love the haul I have a lot of plates and ironstone pitchers makes me happy. My favorite is styling my finds it just relaxes me, my dream job would have been a homestager when I was a young gal. I think you would be so good at staging your sweet personality and eye for decorating is spot on for that

Love the little plates you picked up. The tea light candle holder is so pretty on the table. My husband doesn't like burning candles..took me forever when we got married why none of my candle would keep burning. Lol After almost 35 years of being married, I still have ones I burn but for the most part I have battery operated ones now with timers. And hubby, keeps the batteries changed out. Lol Your kids was so quiet. Never heard neither one or even you getting on to them. Loved the video.

You fortunate to have children that you would even think to take in a place like this. My kids were like this, they didn't touch things they weren't supposed to in our home or anywhere i took them. Lol but my 2 youngest grandchildren, bless their hearts, i wouldn't dare take them in an antique store or near the glass section in any store!😑 They're like like octopus's😆 They don't get the concept of look with you eyes not your hands! They sure do have lots of beautiful things! Love the old pictures & frames in the bridal booth!! If you find A piece that really intrigues you, google Lens it right there in the store, you can find the age and value, sometimes a little more. I it all the time, especially if I'm considering buying it. I love Currier & Ives pieces, and have quite a few things from Currier & Ives.. if you ever find a Currier & Ives coffee table book, its a great find! I have several & I've framed a few pages! But I want to go back & do the mod podge trick to make then look like an oil painting. Mmmm love me a good taco truck!🌮 Google Lens the little saucer! Love the T-light lamp.. You could also use A battery operated candle in it, it would still be pretty and not get wax or smoke film on it. You can use them in the sconces too. Get the remote control ones, not expensive at all. Then you can hit the button and they will look so pretty while safe & clean at the same time! Love the lamp on the table, so cute styled like you have it!💙 We owned a thrift store for a little over 4yrs. The words on that name of the store affects the pricing also. If it says thrift store, then that's what people expect to pay. But if it says antique store then that's the prices you'll pay most times. We lost money quite a we times because we had to sell an antique piece much cheaper than what it was worth. But we didn't shop for the store, it was all donations, so it wasn't money lost out of out pockets. All our proceeds went to a non profit men's recovery home. So it was just less towards that 🤷♀️ Its crazy what that name means to the customer, but we've had some make comments! The blue pieces are cute where you placed them also. Enjoyed the video..TFS😊
