I found the same oval ceramic picture frame with the flowers that you found the day after I watched your video on it. I put a picture of my parents on their 50th wedding anniversary in it. Your decorating is like mine.
I don't think I have anything in my Kitchen/Dining Room that isn't thrifted/gifted, or from antique store. My heart is my old Hoosier with the bin and sifter, and all the racks, it sits beside my old wood stove.
We have family in the mountains of NC who are always saving things for me.
Most of my treasures are vintage...I love them, and am cooking my Husbands Birthday meal tonight, in some very old cast iron pans they saved for me.
You are right, there's a difference between a house and a home. I spend most of my life, right here. My favorite place.

When he bought his house, we gifted it to him. He still has it. You have your mom’s gift for decorating! Great job.

Lovely dining room and kitchen ! I did a kitchen island some years ago by myself 😃…. I hung an antique sled above it, used ‘s’ hooks on the runners to hang pots and pans, and set the large pots on the wooden seat of the sled.

You're so right, there's definitely a difference between a house & a home. A house is just the structure or building, a home is what you make it, what you put into it to make it your own comfy, cozy & personal place to live. Where we love to be😊 The antique dresser is gorgeous! Such A deal, so sad someone would let go of an heirloom to a complete stranger.. even tho you know you'll love & cherish it, they don't know that, and obviously don't care, its just sad to me😕 But hey its awesome for you!! Wow what a deal on your table & chairs.. the chairs are really pretty. You can rub some wood oil on the bad spots on the chairs and it will almost cover that up, very inexpensive way to restore wood. A little pipberry wreath, whisk broom, an old apron or straw hat would be cute on the pegs since its in the running room area. I love the shelf above your window, its beautiful, the corbels really set it off❤ The Island looks amazing.. great job, Its stunning! I really enjoyed and you did a great job on the video.. definitely keep them coming! And thank you for inviting us in your 'home'😊
