- This was my first day in Quito Ecuador, and I was completely blown away by the sheer beauty of the city! From the moment I arrived at the airport, I knew I would be in for a great journey. Hope you guys enjoy this travel vlog!

men dont believe all those bad comments about safety, people more of the times are friendly and also very helpful, we ecuadorians used to stigmatize the places according the peoples income or how that place looks. anymore to say ..Regards from Quito
That dish is a locro (the soup) with seafood on top, it's not quite a national dish but an invention from that restaurant. Looks delicious though, i will give it a try soon.

I'm looking at a 10ish day trip in January. What would you say the number 1 thing to watch out for is? Is it really as "dangerous" now as people are saying? Or is it more so "possible" for crime, not "probable?"
@@lukeswain1752 Watch out for people on motorcycles, they ride and snatch your phone/rob you. Just a lot of robbing going on, especially the coast. A lot of murders are occurring but that's between the drug gangs and cartels.
If you are carful and do not go on empty streets it is safe@@lukeswain1752 we dnnot have shootings, only on neighbours very far away from centric areas and in province. Just be safe and don't go around qith your ohone kn your hand. You can have a walk and nothing will happen

Becareful with locals tellin u where to go, sometimes can be a trap...also 5 is early for clubs bars and all that. How did u like the club beer? Pilsener? Which one did u like the most ? Why didnt u like the aqua something shot ? And man ur brave but watch out in alleys and places that empty i would say avoid them also watch out with ur chain i would say put it on when ur at the spot or club but also becareful...safe travels and awesome video bro, subscribed

Bro, there are two good pubs, one in Plaza San Francisco, called Sinners, and another one in Plaza del Teatro. For good bars and good food go to north of Quito.
I didn't figure this out until right before I left! I was so disappointed that I didn't get to experience a true Ecuadorian night on the town. I plan to come back in 2025 and will definitely have your recommendations saved!

Dude, from 8:20 to 10:11 you were walking through San Roque, which is basically the mother of the most dangerous neighbourhoods in Quito. From San Roque to the west, passing through El Panecillo, boulevard 24 de Mayo and El Trébol, we have the border between the centre and the south of Quito. This border has always been dangerous and place where local mafias operate, also lots of petty crime. Blvd. 24 de Mayo is touristy, but I wouldn't walk alone through San Roque. I always go to their market, because it's cheap. But we use a car to get into their garage, and that's safe.

Thank you so much for watching and the kind words my friend! Overall, Ecuador really surprised me! Beautiful scenery, great food, and I felt very safe in most places, even while walking in the middle of the night. I will say the people were nice, however it's not as laid back as some other South American countries. I did not get to explore as much as I would have liked due to me having to cut the trip short, but it was definitely a gem. You should definitely give it a visit. Please note, Quito can be quite chilly so bring some warm clothing! Saludos 🍻

I've been all over South America. I think Ecuador was my favourite and definitely the cheapest (i was there 20 years ago). The highlights were climbing a volcano and spent a dew days living with a family in the jungle Definitely go visit!
