I felt safe. I’m not sure how it is now. I think the country is going through some turmoil. I saw lots of Americans and I didn’t feel danger at all.
Do they take cards in most places or should I carry cash?
I love Ecuador, but you have to be on look out for sure. One mistake can make you get robbed unfortunately. It’s depend on your luck. Be careful around Carolina park for sure.

Let's say it hasn't changed that much. Neither more dangerous nor that safer. So, let's say yes, it's safe to visit as long you know where you are going. No blackouts anymore because of rainy season, but Government doesn't want to increase the electricity capacity neither...
QUITO no es similar a Bogotá. Serán por el clima y las montañas. Pero en arquitectura muy diferente. Bogotá no tiene el centro histórico. Tampoco metro.
Sí se parecen bastante, no sea peleón ni sufridor. Saludos desde Quito.

I want to visit but flights are more expensive than flying to Europe or Asia. Maybe next year when things get better in Venezuela 🙏🏽
