Omg!!!! I can’t wait!!! Bahia is hands down my most favorite place!!! Love everything about it!!!! Shout out to Bahan Simone!!!
Bahia is the True Essence of Brazil, it genuine, colorful, vibrant, and Soulful. If you want an Authentic taste, and Feel of Brazil, visit Bahia, Not Rio. Rio is very commercial.
No, everybody knows that São Paulo is the best
I recently spent the winter in Manaus. That place is pretty authentic. Ugh.
I visited Salvador,Bahia,Brazil in 2003 for a spiritual retreat. Beautiful place! Beautiful people!
Thank you for sharing. Why aren't Black/Afro Bahia individuals interviewed in this documentary also?
I am planning to visit Salvador de Bahia hopefully in my future because to see the meaningful remembrance of the culture's Chattel Slavery ancestry sold and taken by Portugal. Similar to my Black American culture. Means a lot to me to see another culture not forgot their ancestors.
White people produced it. They want white Bahians to interpret Bahian blackness through a white gaze.
It seems like they only chose to interview people that spoke English. It would have been much better to just put subtitles
the media only show black bahians. what is the problem if shows mixed and the light ones?
@@Paula-oh6sq I have never seen a black bahian be the primary spokesperson in any of these videos and I've searched for a lot of them, it's always some white mixed or white brazilian showcasing it like we can't see how crazy and abnormal that is. I'm Yoruba and trying to make connections to what happened in the west and all I see is highway hijacking

🎯Well said
I totally agree 💯 This video speaks about Black Brazilians but won't allow Blacks to be interviewed
I am brazilian and fron Salvadot of Bahia. Hi, welcome you😘
So glad to view this video on Brazil. I have loads of family members there.
My grandma and her father ancestry(nee De Souza)is from Bahia.
I am from the US and lived, studied and worked in Brazil for 12 years; 8 in Salvador, 3 in Sao Paulo and 1 in Rio. Feel free to reachout if you need any advice.
The food is delicious there!
This is awesome. Thanks!
I am Polen but Brasil is my Place in the planet Earth ❤
Intresting👍👍
Where the hell are the Black people . They can speak for themselves
Dr. Ken Dossar!! I miss my dear Brother Friend.
Saudade Bahia ❤
Did not interview one black person WOW!
Nice
This is Beautiful 💖🕋
❤❤❤❤
.. what? This is the puurfect trip. ..I gotta really get myself together..
Salvador's population is 80% of African descent, yet you have a documentary with no representatives of that culture. How do you justify doing a documentary without this representation? Ridiculous, no?
👀
11 million?🤔
4:38 Souza is a Portuguese name. Not African. I am not saying he doesnt have a a black ancestor because they would change slaves names to Portuguese names, but make sure about the information provided is correcr. Is hard to know if he has a african ancestor unless he does a DNA Test or he has seen his greatgrandparents, or pictures etc
It is documentary no has blackpeople!!?? Salvador to have 86% people black.
They live in the doungerns

lie .. portugal found nothing in Brazil.. it was there before the went there
