How Ordinary Family Celebrate the Lunar New Year in Qionglai City of Sichuan Province, China I Ep.21

In my last episode, I'm totally 'wasted' in the aroma of Baijiu in Qionglai. How can you not have fun where there's good baijiu? Today, the whole family is gathered to celebrate for three reasons: the Lunar New Year, Grandma's 90th birthday, and Lana's Ph.D.
Through this episode, I also want to show you how Chinese people value family. Chinese culture is all about collectivism, we see family as the foundation of our society. family members relay on each other and help each other out. That’s why we make such a big deal about the lunar new year and getting together with our loved ones. Sure, things have changes a lot these days, life is getting so fast and families are getting smaller, it’s not always easy to see our loved ones as often as we’d like, sometimes we just can’t make it home even on holidays.
