I really like how this figure looks! The translucent plastic really looks Great! I might not end up picking it up as repainting it would make the translucent plastic Unnoticeable, so I may just get one of the reissues of the original to suit my needs.
I got my burning boi yesterday! Absolutely in love with him, but I DO wanna point out a couple of things for the people reading this (not you Steve). Firstly, the Target listing for shipping is temporarily out of stock at the moment I'm writing this comment, so if anyone interested in him is discouraged by that, just hit the e-mail notification button to get notified when it's back in stock. DO NOT BUY FROM SCALPERS. Secondly, Target's online inventory system is completely baffling. Don't trust the listing saying your local Target doesn't have it, always check for yourself by going down and seeing what they have, you might be surprised.
Our local store sells the neca 2019 burning godzilla and the neca 2019 burning godzilla v3 target exclusive as separate labels.. is there any actual difference between the two or are they the same thing and the store personnel just got the labeling wrong?
The bright dorsal fins are actually accurate. There is a scene of Godzilla charging off his atomic pulse. Right after that scene, Godzilla and ghidorah are both in the big shot and there, you see godzillas bright dorsal fins.
1:36 in my original release, I noticed a gap in the area where the dorsal spines join the pelvis. I thought it was an isolated case but seeing the same gap in this figure makes me think that this QC issue may be more common than I initially thought. Anyway, I think I'm still pretty lucky because my figure's eyes where not so derpy looking LOL
I have a bootleg neca burning Godzilla and it looks exactly like this but the tail is bendy wire instead, it’s pretty cool although teeth are grey for some reason. Oh, and not to mention on the foot it has neca and toho copyright XD
Not a huge fan of NECA's Godzilla line (with a few exceptions). This is a very nice standout due to the translucent vinyl looking very nice in the light! Very nice edition for a collection filled with stylized figures.
Does NECA ever restock their figures? I am relatively new to the collecting game for these figures and would definitely like to pick this one up. Just cant justify spending $50+ on the secondary market. Is there a website or place that announces Pre-orders for future figures?

S.HMonsterArts has more cooler design and articulations and texture and the sculpting than neca and im gonna get myself a S.HMonsterArts figure soon in tokopedia

People have been clearing out all of the godzilla's from target.
Sure it's inaccurate in terms of sculpt, but it does look stunning.
I'm here in mid August 2020, and I only just found this for the first time at my Target today.

Doesn't need an fx part IMO. It was an effect on it's own in the movie.
