- 'Dynamite' (sometimes also spelled 'Dyna-Mite') is a single by Mud.
In 1974 the Netherlands was under the spell of the British glam rock band Mud. Mud had a number of unsuccessful singles in the late 60s. The band performed music from Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, who also wrote the hits for The Sweet and Suzi Quatro. The first result was 'Crazy', which did well in England. The next single 'Hypnosis' was not exuberant enough for the Netherlands. The third single 'Dyna-mite' caught on. Mud went straight to number one in the Netherlands, even though it was after a hesitant start; it was, after all, a single from 1973! The Mudmania was supported by the videos in AVRO's Toppop, where the men in bright red clothing did their dance steps.

Blimey, the Chinn/Chapman is strong in this one. I can just as easily imagine Sweet or Suzi Quatro performing this song. Great songwriters.

i loved the glam rock mud what a populair group les gray here without glasses verry beautiful song. he died much to young. verry good in live i was verry young when mud was verry famous. dynamite and lean on me where my favorite songs they had so manny. les gray was charming. the other members where nice to.

Well, that's the thing, we don't know. It's never explicitly told to us what happened to him, but it's heavily implied that he transcended into another dimension as an ethereal being right before Jesse arrived into the Oldest House.

I have never seen one single drummer in my entire life actually leave his kit while actually performing and run a lap across the back of the stage. He out staged his drumming skills with that move but unfortunately returned to the crime scene.

Me 2. I'm a mega big Human League fan myself. I personally think that both the music from the following band's. Ie The Jam, The Human League & Mud. R a billion times better than anything that. The original Mud had disbanded just before this ,after the hits stopped coming ,& RCA dropped them, Les formed his own Mud which continues with the original members familys permission as Mud 2 to this day.
