Good times and great pig spotter.... might even do to have a shooter in the plane with you! I just made a deal on a Slepcev Storch in Texas and will be flying it in about a month. Can't wait! I met Nester Slepcev years ago when he delivered one of these to Texas also. He took me up for a short ride. What a hoot. I'll be doing some videos also when I get mine.
You know the saying, "Before there were helicopters there was the Storch." For practical purposes I'd rather have a SuperSTOL, but for sheer coolness with performance the Storch will always be a winner. Wright Flyer, USAF (1968-1972).
Goddamn! I just have to come to Australia only just for the plane alone (and because of the scenery, the wilderness and the better ways to fly)! The city coat of arms on your cowling is from Nürnberg, I guess you know it. I live and fly 40km north of it... 👍
Thanks MisterivyMike yes you will have to come down Australia for a fly. No I didn't know the coat of arms was from Nuremberg, do you know which Luftwaffe unit the paint scheme and the bumble bee smoking a cigarette on the nose belongs to ? I have been trying to find out. Cheers
The WW2 markings make it look so authentic. Is it a kit or or factory aircraft ? I saw one basically hovering in a strong headwind at an air show at CFB Trenton Ontario. 🇨🇦👍
The aircraft is a factory 3/4 scale version of a German WW2 Fieseler Storch. The aircraft was built by Nestor Slepsev in Australia in 2001 with a Rotax 912s(100hp) fitted, he has since moved manufacture to his native country of Serbia. The aircraft are still available as factory build with a rotax 912s or as a kit with your choice of engine either a rotax, radial or Lycoming. Alot of fun to fly and the slow speed performance the aircraft are used for herding cattle or sheep on large farms/ranches in Australia. Thanks for watching. NSW AUSTRALIA
Wow that is a low time Storch, mine has just clicked over 1200 hrs was built yr 2001. I average around 100 hrs a year. Yes the flying is the best during winter in Australia, summer is okay early morning and late afternoon but too hot and bumpy during middle of the day. Thanks for watching enjoy your Storch they are alot of fun 👍
@@storchman7314 Thank you for the reply. I am working on completing my A&P license then onto the PPC and then the commercial. Your plane is so cool and I am sure you have an amazing time. Keep flying and I will reach back out the closer I get to mine!!
My family is originally form Quirindi. If you happen to come to Europe make sure you drop by Normandy and I'll bring you up above the D-day landing beaches
Ha ha thanks mate we had beenhunting on the property and had forgotten to give the Xmas card to the property owner until the day we were leaving better late than never
@@storchman7314 No it's great I want to hear what the engine is doing how it's labouring against the wind as you explain what's going on music has it's place to but it detracts from the reality of "in the moment "👍🏻
I'm not sure if the Slepcev Storch factory is still open for business you would have to contact Nestor Slepcev. Yes a Jabiru is not really a STOL off airport aircraft but a very capable aircraft and a lot faster in cruise speed than the Storch I'm definitely jealous, thanks for the support.
Hmmmm, a scaled down Feisler Fi 156 Storch. Obsolete mid 1930's design, check. Slow as hell, check. Ugly with long spindly legs, check. But is there a better design for the purpose? None that I can bring to mind. I love obsolete, slow, ugly aircraft that more than eighty years after the design first took to the air, have yet to be beat as a working tool for the purpose.
So much quicker than Australia Post.
The 360 degree footage is amazing!!
Keep up the great work Storch man.👍
Thanks mate yes the 360 degree works well

Yes good times Lev,i unfortunately illegal to have a shooter on board. I can't wait to see your Storch on videos keep in touch. Cheers

Yes I agree , In the video I was flying into a 15knot head wind so Ground speed down to 45knots very slow but alot of fun.

I wish I had condition like that to fly, I got a 2006 Slepcev Storch with rotax 912S, only been running 86 hours since new.

Thanks Craig not sure whether people would like engine noise & no music overlaid onto the video's

Well said I agree, but not quite the sound of a roaring Merlin engine 😁
Where can I get one of these kits? I land my little Jabiru almost anywhere I thought but this so much better for my mission.

Plans are offered online for 100usd been hunting for a kit as well looks like a riot to fly
awsome video is the spotter guy okay ?
Thanks mate yes the spotter guy was okay the back seat of the Storch is very nauseating as it is behind the aircrafts pivot point in tail of the dog
