the show also hired veteran to train them all about military tactics, how to clear, how to shoot, etc...
Production team got several active duty Russian military (masked, voice distorted) as consultant for the series.
And man, your military career is... Interesting to say the least
RPG hit was not direct, guy was hit by a tail stabilizer and grenade passed by.
I recommend you to watch behind the scene video on their channel after finishing the last Ep, you will understand a lot~
I'm kinda glad you never got into combat but I didn't watch the entire video, all I could say is war is shitty in all aspects regardless of who you are, experiencing being in the military and never getting to fight but still getting paid doing so, is honestly all I could ask for.

Interesting.. Tarkov is something I've avoided- the story seems interesting so far, maybe the game is interesting too? I just got the impression before that is was just another PubG/Fortnite clone
Same here actually. I thought it was another Battle Royale. But it's actually a realistic shooter set in a 3-way fight. You can choose between the 2 PMC groups and are deployed with teammates and you go against the other PMC Players along with Scavenger Players/NPC's who essentially treat the game as a free-for-all. The Scavengers seem more like the Battle Royale kind of gameplay while the PMC's seem to emphasize teamplay.
Don't react to the raid series. React to or better play the game itself

The series is absolutely Fantastic. It's 100% worth reacting. You won't regret it after making it to ep 5.
