Paris has only had six driving lessons and has been driving with a family member. She wanted to take this mock driving test to find out if she is ready for her real driving test.
During the driving test, Paris drove well but made a serious driving fault in the first minute. She had no idea that she'd failed in the first 60 seconds.

It must be a huge slap in the face when you think you passed but then the examiner tells you that you failed. Lol.
This happened to me once- I’d gone over the speed limit on the road before we turned back into the test centre but hadn’t noticed
It really is. 2nd attempt on my test. Thought everything went well. 1 minor and 1 major. That major was basically cutting a corner. Was very annoying.
I feel like it's worse when you already know you've failed and then the examiner confirms it lol. Imagine getting rejected after a job interview and losing £100 on the same day.
Happened to me
It is indeed. I had it happen on my mock test.
During the start of my test I greeted my instructor with a "Hello, how's your day going" and my instructor looked at me dead in the eyes and said "I'm not here to be your friend." Needless to say he didn't help my anxiety one bit. Thankfully I did pass

This video really helps with my driving anxiety. The constant feeling of being out of control, especially once you've had a bad experience with a bad driver on the road can shake your confidence. It surprised me to see her continuing after making a serious fault. In my country, if you make a serious fault, you don't get to continue, and have to switch with the instructor, even if you failed in the first minute. Also we have the instructor, and an extra " examiner" at the back. I didn't know driving tests differ so much in countries.
By the way, it was nice to hear you explain the mistake.
This is not an actual driving test, its sort of an assessment or practice.

I remember getting my license all too well. 😅 Halfway through the test I had already resided myself to the fact that I had failed. I just knew I had failed. I was already in tears and my anxiety was through the roof. I swear every look on the instructor's face was angry and upset. I remember telling them how sorry I was and I was so scared of what they were gonna say when I got done....
You would not believe the look on my face when I got to the counter and they started asking for my picture. I just remember my face being covered in tears and me being in awe as I said "I...passed? I didn't fail?" and they so nonchalantly said "No."
I was floored. My mind was blown. 😂

Beyond Sky booked it now, I live in Ireland so it’s not as bad to get in and do the test.I wanna get more practice in before the test so that’s why I opted in to be available around the end of September and onward
sad we won’t be seeing taz anymore. So used to watching her videos 😂
For her 2nd serious fault, in her defence, the sat nav did say the limit was 30mph and not 20mph. But equally it said 20mph on the road. But then again if you miss it, the sat nav does have the limit for a reason in case and the sat nav really should pick up on the speed limit correctly.
This is the same case in the speed for the highway I use to get to work and home. The signs say 55 but Google maps shows it at 70.
This is why part if the test is road awareness, this is to show that you can spot road signs, and markings. Don't always rely on the sat nav during your tests. Follow its directions, don't follow the speed limit it says, always be aware of all road signs and speed limit signs.
I had 5 hours lessons. My instructor told me not to watch the driving videos on CZcams. I can see why because he dis not want me to compare him to the other instructors. But after watching yours, I notice I learned more skills than from him. He talked a lot, but gave me little time to practise,(my one lesson is for 2 hours), So I decided to stop learning with him. I can imagine 60 hours learning with him will be the same for 30 hours when learning with you.

I currently hold the record, I failed my driving test 7 minutes before it started. She’s so good! I’m not even close to how well she’s doing and I’ve only done 6 lessons too😕When changing gears don’t you have to come completely off the gas? Thats the way my instructor keeps telling me to do it.
No, not necessarily, you can change gears if your not accelerating and doing a steady speed while still on the gas but it can be a tricky skill to master so instructors tend to teach students to completely lift their foot off the gas to prevent revving while changing gears

Do all instructors offer “mock test” or just certain ones?
Charles Duntoye Well my new instructors had me 5 lessons and I’ve done them all.
The problem is who am I to question her. She was the instructor teaching me to drive. She’s trained for years. I haven’t. I don’t know the way they teach these things. My new instructor kindly told me he thinks I had been played and I have to agree. Shame but we learn and move on I suppose
Charles Duntoye well my instructor who I’m with now teaches turn in road on his 5th lesson he was saying to me. I suppose it all depends on the instructor as some may teach differently but it deffo should be done in 30 hours 😂
@Charles Duntoye definitely ask your instructor about the manoeuvres. It might be that they just want to hammer in the basics and don't feel like you're ready to move on just yet, but realistically if they're happy with your ability and your feel comfortable and confident I'd say you should have started to look at manoeuvres by now. Hope all is going well with your lessons regardless!

It's how you do on the day, nerves, tired, below par, are all factors, and another thing not admitted to. Is how the examiner is feeling too.
