This man was an absolute legend. Glad this interview was posted so he can be seen by many forever. R.I.P. Goose.
Rip
In my opinion he is a true cattle hauler I would to sit at a coffee table an listen to his stories an i bet I would never get bored he is truly ol school still driving a set of sticks how cool
I was thinking the same, this guys like this is whats missing in truckin today
@@RIGGEROY amen brother you got that right I have been out here going on 30years of driving a truck an it just keeps getting worse god bless you
I have always loved listening too old school drivers like Mr Rodney luv it👍
That is a Real truck. They dont make em like this anymore. What a great Guy Rodney is.
That KW is a limited edition. It has the bicentennial paint scheem on it. Thats probably the reason he kept the original paint on it. Its a 1976 W900A model.Goodlooken truck.
Rest in Peace Rodney. You were the original "Super Trucker"!
Hadn't heard that, sorry to hear, R.I.P.
NOW THAT IS AN AWESOME TRUCK. Goes to show if you take care of your equipment it will take care of you, even if you have to replace parts. Normal ware. Old Trucks are solid runners. Thanks for the video.
Amen, I’d take a old truck over a new one any day. I drove a old r model Mack when I was 20, I’m 28 now, and that truck never broke down😂it wasn’t a powerhouse by any means and I didn’t have a/c but I felt cool driving a old school truck. Now at my current employer I have a 2019 Pete with all the emissions on it and we’ve had problems with it. Getting ready to get me a 07 international with a 550 cat in it! Beyond ready!
Great to see interviews with these oldtimers that started up in the 70's, while they still are here) Keep it up)
It sure is,one of the reasons I became a trucker my Dad
Rodney's been trucking longer than most drivers are have been alive . He's a real CHARACTER always a joy
to see/talk to . He RIGHT On about the future of truckin the "good old dayes"
Are in the rear view mirror .
Sad fact.. Good luck Rodney & Matilda keep m tight & upright .
Stormy Weather My grandfather drove truck for 73 years. He died last year at 102 years old. Grandfather only hauled cattle
@@joshuastevens5910 sorry for your loss Iam SURE he is MISSED .. bet he was fun to listen to around coffee table . Try to remember the story's so that he" lives on" in this world .
Stormy Weather For sure. He stopped trucking when he was 95. Quit OTR when he was 85 and just did local stuff til he couldn’t no more. And after that rode with me all the time. I’m 26 now, been driving rigs since I was 14, got CDL when I was 18. I drive his 1981 359. Had a 6x4 in her, just swapped it out last year with a Detroit 18 speed
Stormy Weather I’m sure he’s crossed paths with this man a time or two. He knew The legend himself...Bob Spooner.
@@joshuastevens5910 THAT's a real condenses as Dad left me his 81 model 359 ext hood w/ 3408 cat & 5n4 .
Dont drive her much anymore . Run her up to panhandle of Tx about twice a year with feeder calves from the ranch in hill country. Love Her , reminds me of ridin w/ dad as a kid ( 80's) . Oh the memory's . For me its LIKE a trip back in time ... NEVER FORGET the people that taught us EVERYTHING --- 10-4
I got the opportunity to meet Mr. Rodney, in person, at the Hutch’s in Woodward, OK about a year ago. He’s a whole different person without that camera. It looks like it’s making him nervous. Mr. Rodney is a class act, and a real pleasure to meet. Thanks for the interview.
hauled cattle with Rodney back in 75when he drove a 72 Kenworth.he is a good man and a good friend fun to be around
Been a while since I have seen this truck! It is the limited edition KW. I remember when these trucks came out. There was a conventional and a cab over. As long as he has had that ride there is no reason to change now! This man is a perfect example of what a truck driver is. The youngsters of today could learn a lot from a man such as this.
What could the youngsters learn from him?
Love the way he's got the lights on the quarter fenders!! Ole school style!!!
Much love and respect to this man and Oldschool truck/trailer!!
In my opinion the best interview you have made. Reminds me of my father.thanks
You sir behind the camera doing a great job love your videos
wow 71 yo great personality! great human being glad I clicked on this. He’s an inspiration because I’m gonna have to work until I’m 90 to pay off everything. 😂
I'm about to binge watch these videos. There's nothing like our grandfather truckers. Their stories sucks you in. Love it 👍🏾💪🏾🖤
Pull my 1st load of cattle in 1985, cabover cornbinder with 45 ft pot! Still love hauling cattle but being 72, I mostly haul with grain hopper!
Wow awesome video big respect to Mr Farber. Nice truck old school KW
That was a good year for trucks...cabovers and conventionals both. Good looking rig. I bet he is a character, as most truckers are. Truckers are a rare breed.
Great interview! Good questions and commentary. Thanks for the effort. I subscribed!
Love your videos sir keep em coming
dam man, i love to hear the old school truckers talk about back in the days and stuff. older trucks are way better then new ones. i hope i can haul as long as this man over here. im trying to do atleat 40 plus
a real old school trucker pleasure to watch your video sir
Mr. Sanders this is one of your top interviews. Pete Robinson and Rodney Farber, are some of the more interesting cattle haulers you have interviewed.
Of course the two stick works! Hahahahah that's funny.
Hello from Dalhart. Neat to see you are in the neighborhood
Old boy I bet hauled a billion Big Macs and quarter pounders for sure. God bless him.
The guys that stay with one or two trucks seem to have the best success in this business and longevity. As soon as they try to start a fleet they go bankrupt.
A tough old trucker , and a tough old truck , KW best in the world .
Hot Rod himself, legend in livestock
Neat 👍Nice ride

.... they are the Cadillac..... that boy just cant sit still... Keep Rollin..... C'Mon
A true trucker right here
Ask him about his longest haul. We moved an entire ranch from Clayton, NM.
to Douglas Lake, British Columbia; 30 horses, 120 head, portable chutes, tractors... Only eight hours in customs
Is Mr. Farber related to Lou Farber from Arizona. Football coach '60s and "70s. Looked just like him. I Love bull racks too.
Nice guy.
Hey goose haven't seen or talked to u in awhile miss u and momma speedbuggie from indiana says hey

Yea seriously, he’s completely cringe. Feel bad for him

Nice truck
Can we get a fuckin guy that can speak English and ask a fuckin question worth a fuck? Tremendous patience shown by this legend
This man behind the camera has a huge love cow cow truckin hence why he has a whole CZcams channel dedicated to it and you’re gonna completely look past that and judge him because he does not speak great English? What is wrong with you? You are the problem out here seriously. This world ain’t got any room for rude fucked up people like yourself. You’re nothing but a racist pos waste of air to be honest.
Ooooh that a left lane hammer down truck! Rest In Peace driver
You need to interview an ol fella they call Cadillac. Drives a white flat top pete with greenish blue fenders and roof! Pulls a trailer with “CLX” in the porch sign!
Hauls out out of Mankato Kansas a bunch.
HELLO RODNEY
True old school. He strikes me as an ex Montfort guy😉 one of those guys passing you while your doing 100.. lol very selective in responses. Wise
We were neighbors in Clayton
Hey new Mexican neighbor
Man this was rough getting through
Straight up Old Skool Cat. V8 Cat with 2 sticks, yes sir. ♉🐂
Tell porter u said hi aka cowboy lol
R.I.P. Goose!!
Love hearing his story and info on that nice old KW but it seems like the person interviewing him most of the questions aren’t coming out naturally.. 🤷🏻♂️
hey you American cattle truckers pray tell me is the lwb tractor to control in Icey road conditions. here in Oz land the trailer is so close the sleeper a longhorn could take it out on ya as ya sleep.
Frank Bertola the longer the frame the more flex it has. It is a little more comfortable the longer it is. Kinda floats. Mostly for looks, and comfort.
It surely is harder to maneuver in tight areas though!
@@adventuresofwillandshelby6013, you hit it on the head, rides better and looks good, sucks in the urban areas
I have a 96 model 52’ Merritt cattle pot for sale if anyone is looking or knows someone looking for one. Thanks
RIP goose
can I get my boys send you some photos

Used to haul cattle but there is better money in flatbed and oversized!
22yrs so far, wouldn't pull anything besides flatbed and RGN. It's not the equipment that makes you cool, it's how you carry yourself. A lot of guys think bullhaulers are the coolest guys, it's an opinion. I love the challenge that every flat or RGN load brings.
That, damb eld dosnt work well with livestock at all, you got a living thing in the trailer can't just stop for a 10hr break when your an hour away from yoir stop..
This guy needs a couple of English classes .... still a cool interview.
I heard he passed away😔
Awesome driver, terrible interview. Wasn't prepared and didn't seem to understand the drivers jokes.
The folks this guy interviews are amazing but I can’t stand his way of interviewing.
Tell me how to do better...I am just a Correctional Officer who do this for a hobby and passion for trucks.I don't know anything about American trucks at all...I have been a truck driver in Europe for more than 20 years, never been one in USA.
@@ilovecattletrucks4802 dont take it too seriously. You do just fine sir, your always going to have the CZcams armchair warriors trying to attack you for something instead of offering helpful criticism. Keep doing your thing man.
@@ilovecattletrucks4802 You will get a groove as you go along, you speak good English and you are professional and polite. Keep up the good work.
Two things I don't like with this video..one giving the male of trucks a woman's name..conventionals are male..two the guy doing the interview.
ALONZO CATO if you can do a better job, go for it! My gal in my pic is named Jacquelyn... your argument is invalid!
You'd be wrong, men affectionately name their trucks after a lady because it symbolizes the strength of the woman, it may be named after a love that was lost. The guy doing the interview is from Europe, he drove 20 yrs over there. He does this as a hobby, he loves trucks and he is professional, respectful and speaks good English.
It is pretty plain that you know nothing of trucks or truck drivers! I drove for 35 years and most that I have known (males) have named their trucks with a woman’s name. Even some women have female names for their trucks. What makes you think that conventional trucks are male? I have driven a few of them and all of mine were named after a woman!
