Is there minutes for the pick other than at center? Maybe backup point guard? A lottery pick as high as the Grizzlies will get (without a trade down) would need to get minutes.

These guys questioning Lamar Stevens fit with this team is ridiculous. His versatility is definitely needed on this team. Who else do we have that can effectively guard Zion or Luka?
The big kid out of Purdue University has the size that can make a difference for the Grizzlies next year. He can set the pucks for JA and rebound. That’s enough for right now. This frees up Jaren to score and block shots as well. Don’t go and draft a player that we have plenty of for next season.

Why does everybody keep saying Clingan has to be ready right away? That's just not true. Grizz should still acquire a FA big on a short deal to allow Clingan a yr or 2 to ease into a bigger role.
Grizz fans have to let the Bridges pipe dreams go. It's not happening, Nets management/ownership is dysfunctional.
Definitely would like to see John Goodwin, Scottie Pippen and Lamar Stevens back with the team. Smart needs to be back because we didn't even see him with the team and we paid two 1st rounders for him.
LaRavia is on the bubble but i'm clearing out Konchar, Zaire, Rose and even Kennnard I'm moving out. The only other guy to consider of the 'gap squad' would be Jemisson but if I get two big man, he would have to agree to a G league deal.

@dregamingz let me ask you this. When's the last time a top pick has been traded for a player around draft time? It doesn't happen. Nobody is trading a good player (like this fantasy Mikal Bridges tade Joe keeps mentioning) for a draft pick in a down draft lol

And a trade for Clint Capela and De’Andre Hunter for a high lotto pick, potential other firsts and seconds, and then some salary players like BC and Kennard with a young player could sway a team like them with no direction. It would start off their rebuild.
In the NBA, you're either a serious team trying to win, or you're a team that's evaluating young players and collecting assets. Should Santi Aldama be in the rotation of a serious team? NO; Jake LaRavia= NO; D Rose= NO; Ziarie Williams= NO; John Konchar= NO; Yuta= NO; Rookie Centers= NO. Right now, it looks like the Grizzlies could potentially have SEVEN guys on next year's opening roster who shouldn't be in the rotation of a serious team, especially in the brutal western conference. How a GM can keep his job after putting together a roster like that is beyond me.
I think they are doing a great job overall. It's not easy to get a core like the one they have build with Ja/Des/JJJ and they are trying to improve it with the addition of Smart, D.Rose is a savy 3rd PG for me. Let's see their next moves
@Chus7ai3 Ja and Jaren were luck of the lottery and Bane was pure luck also. Zach Kleiman has done a HORRIBLE job of surrounding those three with vets who have playoff experience. Derrick Rose proved to be washed two years ago yet he gave him a two year contract anyway....that was idiotic.

@dregamingz Santi Aldama is absolute trash. One of the worst defensive players I've ever seen and he avoids contact as if it's the plague. He's an excellent rotation player for tanking teams 😅😅🤣🤣
