When I watched the episode of The Middle as a kid, I also thought you could just run to Epcot from Magic Kingdom.

Yessss omg so many shows made it seem like you could just dash from park to park! Lol. My bf and I rewatch shows and it's like haha yea that's not possible lol.
One seen will show the walkway of Hollywood Studios and the kids are like "I want to go to Splash Mountain let's go!" Then the adults are like "ok we are going to be having beer in Germany come find us after!" Like that's not how that works lol.
Omg I can’t believe people think that Disney can control the ocean and that’s it’s okay to hit jellyfish on the head because finding nemo said they could. 😂

Okay but that one about "how do I walk to Epcot?" You can if you're at Hollywood Studios if you walk through the boardwalk.
The first time we did it we weren't confident about the path, so we asked a cast member right before we exited Studios. His response was "you go to the bus stop and the bus will take you there."
I was confused because I was certain there was a walking path to the boardwalk but didn't know where exactly is was, so I calmly told him "no, I want to WALK to Epcot. Isn't there a way to do that from here?"
His response? "Yeah. You WALK to the bus stop, then a bus will take you to Epcot."
Fortunately, another cast member was listening and told us how the walking path was near the boat dock lol.
That’s a good point to bring up! I remember working modified duty at Epcot’s international gateway and had NO CLUE there was a walking path to Hollywood Studios! I also didn’t know the Boardwalk existed 😅 I’m glad there was another CM who understood what you were asking!!
I was working Jedi Training Academy and the storm troops were about to come out and I put up the ropes.
Woman: I need to get by
Me: I am sorry Ma'am if you wait 2 minutes you can go by or walk around!
Woman: You don't understand this an emergency!
Me: Yes, I understand ma'am but if it's that important please feel free to walk around.
Woman: IT'S AN EMERGENCY!
Me: I understand if you wait they are almost out.
Woman: YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND I NEED KETCHUP! She storms off all pissed walks around to the other side of the Terrace. The troopers have come out and I takes down the ropes.
Woman: Gah ( give me nasty eyes)

My favorite was when I worked main entrance at Epcot a guy insisted his Universal Studios ticket was a UNIVERSAL ticket and worked EVERYWHERE.
I was like “it’s not like a universal remote sir”.

I once had a panic attack that I thought was an asthma attack mid-shift. While we were waiting for the EMTs, Disney security had to come ask me questions, one of which was whether I was a cast member. If I'd been able to breathe normally, I would have 100% told the security guard that yes, while unable to breather, I tackled a cast member, stole their costume and name tag, and put them on.
Dumbest thing a guest asked me “do you get the entire castle in your photo”
My reply “the entire frontside. If you find a photographer that gets the entire castle let me know because I want my photo taken too!”

In Walt Disney’s EPCOT film there’s a dome and I think that’s where people get the dome reference from.

What I heard about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Disney was in a bidding war but Universal was willing to basically do what Warner Brothers wanted and Disney didn't. Disney had their own imagination of what to do with the area and it didn't go with what Jk Rowling and WB wanted so they went with Universal. I never heard that spacing was one of the reason, it may have been. I did hear those who work there aren't allowed walkie talkies and such because they don't want to break the magic of the Wizarding world.

I am a huge Potterhead and have been to Harry Potter world and I heard that story about Disney possibly having Harry Potter world, that would’ve been amazing!!! But I love their Star Wars land now. It was always funny when a guest would pretend to ask a dumb question and I would answer it genuinely and they would be awestruck like, i was kidding do people actually ask that? 😬

My parents and I were walking toward the Haunted Mansion. I was 8 and HORRIFIED of any character bc I couldn’t see their face. It just so happened that a character dance party was happening on the streets in that moment. I scream, “THE GHOSTS WILL GET YOU!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVESSSSS!!!!” I got several weird looks from people, but hey, I tried to warn them. Haha! (That was almost 7 years ago and I’ve been back twice since and absolutely loved all the character interactions I’ve had now that I’m not a wimp😂

The dome originates from Walt Disney's original plan for EPCOT. It being a revolutionary city with it's own weather management system - a moveable dome.

When I worked at a movie theater, people have asked me if I work there. The amount of times I wanted to sarcastically say “No, I just like wearing a name tag for the fun of it.” I now work at Home Depot where we at least have orange aprons to appropriately distinguish ourselves from customers.

A 45 minute wait is NOTHING in comparison to the flight of passage ride at animal kingdom lol I happily waited 4 hours for that ride and it was 1000000% worth it!

While working at WDW I got asked/told that the people mover was broken because it didn’t take them to Galaxy’s Edge. I told the guest umm I’m sorry but galaxy’s edge in is Hollywood Studios you’re in Magic Kingdom. The gust said no no no I know we are in Tomorrowland this ride takes us to Galaxy’s Edge. I said no you have to go to Hollywood Studios to go to Galaxy’s edge. If you want I can show you the bus to get there. And she was convinced I was wrong that the people mover takes her to Galaxy’s edge. She asked for my manager and told him I should be fired because I was lying to her. 🙄 my manager told her exactly what I said and she said..we are never come back here these employees (we are Cast Members) are not helpful. I wish I would of seen her another day just to ask oh is the people mover fixed it did you make it Galaxy’s Edge. I didn’t see her again but omg they was the craziest

A guest was wanting information on her upcoming stay at Fort Wilderness and she started going on about skunk apes. If I see a skunk ape how do I keep it away from my campsite? Is there skunk ape etiquette? Does Disney insure my property from damage caused by skunk apes? What’s the biggest size skunk ape you’ve seen here?
I’ve lived in FL my whole life and I’ve never seen a skunk ape, maybe they exist, but I’ve never seen one.
Then there was the Urbex guy who wanted me to reveal the location of the original haunted house… the one on Bay Lake. Well, as you know, our Haunted Mansion is not located on Bay Lake but on the Rivers of America.
No not that haunted house, the one with the lightning, and the bullet holes, and the guy playing the creepy organ song over and over as if possessed!! After about 10 minutes with this guy I realized what he was referring to… the Summerwind Mansion in Bay Lake, Wisconsin!!
Or how about… “I know you work in some office somewhere and not at the resort so you can’t answer my questions”. As if I needed to be standing on a geographical spot to have knowledge about the resort you’re asking about. I know more working in the office I work in then I ever knew when I worked at a physical resort. Do I work at the Grand Floridian, no not anymore, but I am on WDW property and I do know how to do my job.
I just received word that I’ve been rehired from my layoff and I go back to Disney next week and get back to this again!

I wasn't sure I could finish the video. As a big Disney fan this was making me crazy. People, if you're going to wdw, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT! DO YOUR RESEARCH! If you're that clueless I don't think you should go!
Disney passed on Harry Potter 3 times, Disney publishing passed on the books because Rowling wanted complete control and they weren't going to do that for an unknown (at the time) writer. Then they passed on the movies, again because of Rowling's demands. AND THEN passed on the themed land because Rowling, again, wanted complete creative control over every decision.
Should have been the first clue... honestly.

I wanted to do a summer alumni program there but I didn't realize I'd missed the application deadline, and then had I gone to grad school down in LA area I was going to audition for entertainment at DLR! At this point, I no longer want to live in southern CA so that ship has sailed

Seriously, there is nothing in orientation that covers that. A co cast member suggested guest services. But at the same time. We had so many younger kids asking us so many questions. It was worth every moment in time listening and answering. Never would change that experience at all
How come people don’t realize that Disney doesn’t and shouldn’t have Harry Potter world it’s not Disney at all! They only have Disney properties
Universal has all tons of properties not just ones Disney owns there.
