Kyle should be on more Rewatchables. He's great.
He’s the best by far
He'll be back
Not on a re-run
Bill and Kyle doing an 80s action-film on the Rewatchables !! Fantastic !!
Richard Sherman as Fireball. Spits fire, and shoots fire
The chico rant is maybe the best 40 seconds of podcasting in history.
Steven Seagal running in every movie - That image will now live rent-free forever.
Bill “I’m a bit older than you” Simmons
but does he have Clippers season tickets?

a kyle + bill rewatchables 🥲🥲🥲
I’m so happy yall are doing another episode together! ❤LFg
"Who Loves you? And Who do you Love!"
I hear Sven as saying "I got to score some steroids"
Yep, he was hurt when Killian asked him if steroids made him deaf, so he clapped back.
That's correct. It's not easy to hear but these two are talking like he was talking into a pillow.
Back from Rock Bottom Month with a vengeance, and one of the most Rewatchable movies of all time. That’s not to say it’s a great movie, of course, but it doesn’t have to be! Arnold, Jesse The Body/Mind, Jim Brown, Richard Dawson, Maria Conchita Alonso….take a bow, you earned it.
The old man was all in on Arnold movies at this time, we saw everything from ‘87 to ‘92 in the theater.
Running Scared mention/call back!?!? That’s a frickin’ win!
"200 dollars on Richards!!!"
Way back in ‘92 my brother and I saw the Running Man at the music/video store at the beach during a rainy day and bought it based on Arnold alone. Been one of my favorites since the first time I saw it, and unlike a lot of nostalgia films this one is still great.
Bill, guys, please, PLEASE consider doing Arnie's "Raw Deal" rewatchables at some point.
Another great rewatchable is the typecast nerd, Leon and his dilemma of choosing between Dynamo and Buzzsaw.
Video is where it’s at Bill! Turn the ringer videos loose! The visualization piece!
Manhunt comes close to The Running Man game equivalent. Awesome ep!
" I'll buy that for a dollar!!!"
Awesome episode. Predator is next level.
“Cadre Cola!”
When Arnold is running on the airport tarmac all I could think about was him in the NFL lol
He's not a very athletic guy. His fight scenes are always very clunky.
@@mjwbulich yeah fair point, definitely just filming and editing tricks. He was a body builder so it makes sense he wasn’t athletic
Arnold the king of the one liners.
Sven was a former Stalker with a Viking gimmick.
Fantastic episode!
Erland van Lidth was great as Dynamo. He was also very memorable in The Wanderers and Stir Crazy.
Arnold immediately passed Sly as soon as he came onto the scene and never looked back.
Arnold had Jim Cameron.
No, he didn't. He didn't surpass Sly until around 1990. Terminator, Comando, and Predator, all did well. Raw Deal, Red Heat , and Running Man, not so much. Meanwhile, Stallone is dropping blockbusters. Rocky 4 alone made more money than every film Arnold had ever been in up to that point. Plus Sly had the Rambo films. From 1982 when Arnold comes on the scene with 'Conan' and Sly drops 'Rocky 3' until 1988, Sly absolutely owns Arnold at the box office. He's a bigger star. He has more juice in the industry. It's really not close.
@mjwbulich Sly has a great run with the first 3 Rockys and then the first Rambo by 82, but Arnold drops 2 Conans and T1 by 84 and surpasses Sly. Stallone's making stinkers like Staying Alive and Rhinestone in 83 and 84. While he rides the wave into Rocky 4, Arnold is clearly king by no later than 1987's Predator.
Bro, just go look at the box office numbers. Rocky 3 ($270m) is an absolute monster the year. Conan($39.5m) comes out. Terminator($78.5m) drops in late 1984, and then in 1985 Sly has Rocky 4 ($300m) and Rambo 2 (also $300m). Arnold doesn't crack $100m until Twins in December of 1988.
I love those 1980 Arnold films. He wins the decade by a wide margin for me. As far as popularity and box office it's Stallone by a country mile. He was already a beloved figure with an Oscar and a string of hits before Arnold came on the scene.
Only in a rerun
"Only in a rerun"
We just called Chico the best character in the movie. your guys took it to a whole new level!!!!
My dad let me see The Exorcist and Clockwork Orange when I was around 8 or 9, no other horror movie did anything for me after they set the bar too high.
this movie encapsulates my childhood. it’s fucking awesome
I went from listening to the podcast to leave this comment. I was born in 1986... I'm so glad yall did this movie. It's definitively rewatchables. So much so the fact I was one when it came out never truly hit me until today. I knew the film and loved it as a young boy that watched wrestling back then. The American gladiator/anime we all wanted. Only complaint "Domino" was in "Stir Crazy" and a real opera singer...why the hate? Again it's a movie from my childhood if I seen it on I watched it. Wish the fight scenes were better...maybe a netflix series that focused on the the stalkers until they cross Richards? Love the video game take. Great choice and episode. Edit: it just hit me my defense of dynamo is Warner Brothers "kill the wabbit" I was a child.
I love listening to you guys, who obviously love a movie that I love.
I first watched this at school, we were allowed to watch movies on the last day of term. How we got past Chico's head exploding I do not know.
Add a character from another movie is a great category.
My fave Arny movie
Carlito’s Way!! Carlito’s Way!! Carlito’s Way!! Carlito’s Way!! Carlito’s Way!! Carlito’s Way!! Carlito’s Way!! Carlito’s Way!!
Do it!!! Do it NOW!!!
If Glaser miscasts Dawson, this movie is trash. Dawson is perfect in this movie and makes it rewatchable.
"Don't forget to send me a copy!"
Classic!
Chuck Woolery was supposed to be Damon Killian
Bill goes from saying that Arnold didn't say I'll be back in every movie in the 80s to saying that you'd hope he'd say it, and that transition happens in about 5 seconds. At the very least you have to respect his ability to react on the fly to being wrong and then turning it into something that maybe was real.
Bill you forgot Extreme Prejudice that she was also in…. 1987….
Looking at the spreadsheet you still haven't done Bull Durham. You really should do that one live in Durham. Lots of the original locations are still around. The old ball park is still here, Annie's house is still on Mangum, Mitch's Tavern is still open in Raleigh. People here love that movie and will fill the old ball park just to watch it. Do the show at the Carolina Theatre, they had a premiere for the film there.
Finally!!
The Video Game that is basically "The Running Man" you are looking for is the 2004 Rockstar game "Manhunt".
It even has an "Hardcore"/"8mm" twist that I believe you guys would like.
Speaking of prequels, is Kyle Brandt going to star as a young John Kreese whenever they make the Cobra Kai origin story? Brandt saving Terry Silver's life in 'Nam will be an Oscar-worthy performance. Kyle needs to grow the hair 'up' a little more and I'll have no problem seeing him telling the GI's to do 60 pushups on their knuckles.
Bowling for Dollars... a real game show I assume was the joke for Climbing for Dollars
I absolutely loved this movie and if you have a better version of Dawson, plus a stacked lineup of villains along the way...I can see this being remade as well if not better than the original. This was one of my childhood favs and Dawson was excellent as the villain.
Arnold was mostly missable throughout most of this movie but at the very end when it's him and Killian, he nailed it wonderfully. (In a way, he was like the Nuggets during the Lakers series. Stink for three quarters, end it with a bang.)
They still havent done Die Hard With a Vengeance. Whats up with that? The Cable Guy rewatchable with Kyle too, please!
Bill is always confusing "reality show" with "competition show". Running Man is a competition show like Ninja Warrior not a reality show like Real Housewives or Vanderpump Rules.
It could be considered a reality show bc it was a punishment run by the government.
@@patrickthomas8890not sure that's criteria for a reality show. Reality is more or less "real life" and having men hunt you in costumes to death on a game show stage doesn't really fit real life.
We had american gladiators back in the 80s.... so that was extreme game shows.
Killian, here's your Subzero, now plain zero.
That Latina gurl was hot!!
Good take this is better (slightly) than total recall. Arnold has the best catalogue of movies out of any actor ever.
No way it’s better than total recall
@@leemcqueen500 total recall 9.8 running man 9.9 my boy.
Is it just me or does Kyle Brandt looks like a young Christian Laetneer when he was playing with Duke.
John Kimble, who is actually Austrian for some reason
HEY JOE ROGAN
HERE'S SUB ZERO
NOW?
PLAIN ZERO
" I got to score some steriods" "Score" being slang for illegally purchase.
Won’t show on this shirt 👕 greatest lime ever
Not video game guy so maybe they did but as a kid thought it'd be perfect videogame with like subzero leader you face level 1 etc.
I'm starting a podcast called the "reviewables" that will blatantly serve as a job application for the ringer... I just want to get paid minimum wage to hang out with you guys
18:51 Craig. Hush.
So this was bugging me since I heard you talking about it but I watched Running Man last night. Anyway. The guy at the end says. I got to score some steroids.
Love the drake(Brant)
Please watch To Live and Die in L.A.
Back then people thought we would run out of oil and did not take into account basic economics of the price signal. We will never run out of coal and gas because we will have switched to alternatives long before we need to use the last fossil fuels. Like how the uk is longer using coal even though they have thousands of years in reserve. Because coal is a old technology now that makes no sense to use.
The UK doesn't mine coal because China can do it far cheaper so there's no money in it. Were prices to rise and make it profitable again they'd start mining again tomorrow. It's a two trillion dollar industry.
@@mjwbulich they don’t mine it because they don’t use coal anymore for electricity. Also most of the uk coal is underground so more expensive than places like Australia where it is mined in open pits on the surface. The export market for coal now is most met coal used for steel. But most countries are decreasing use the USA is using 66% less coal than in 2010.
"Gotsta score some steroids" ?????
How is Conan the Barbarian not in Kyle's Top 5? Wtf? Lol.
You guys missed the biggest prediction. In the book the arnold character suicides a plane into the hq of the corporate ruler. Hmmm. Wonder if bin laden had read some bachman.
"Cruise or Hanks--it has to be Cruise because that's all he does in movies..." Yes, but are you forgetting Hanks in Forrest Gump? The dude ran across the COUNTRY!
Disagree with the gta open world game concept… Smash tv is the perfect game based on this movie. Fast arcadey action that builds off of running man and takes blood/gore, enemies, and bosses to next level.
Love your rewatchables Bill right up to when you bring up politics
Lol top 5 unnecessary nudity producer choice 😅😅😅
Illegal border crossings should be a reality show like Running Man since it’s happening anyway now and might as well have some stalkers trying to stop it since no one in Admin is
He thinks Commando is Arnold's 3rd best movie????....WTF?
This guy's opinion is irrelevant, he is a clueless fool.
This is boring
You are
Richard Dawson is Trump in this movie lol. Richard Dawson would also probably beat Joe Biden in 2024
Richard Dawson would beat anyone, while kissing every woman on the campaign trail. 😂😂😂
This movie was terrible. I know now if Kyle Brandt is on its going to be a forgettable pic.
One thing the running man isn’t is boring
MAGA
Fuck MAGA
