A great contrast is "Patience" , the studio version. Axl (The vocalist) has a deep speaking voice, but his high notes are at Mariah Carey's level (for real).
He also sang lead for ACDC . & Rocked it😂.
And his voice has never been the same.
Slash(the lead guitarist in tophat) is one of the best and will always be among the legends.

Great song!… but you should’ve listened to the studio version from five years earlier. By 1992 Axel’s voice was fried from the hundreds of shows.

My two best days of my life were Pink Floyd Pulse tour 1994 at Earls Court London, and this concert in Paris at the race course , i will never forget those two concerts

You should checkout this song from 1987 live version... here his voice is already screamed out a bit :D but still good compared to present. And of course you should try to listen the live version of GNR - Nightrain from 2006 Rock am Ring... His voice is unbelievable there

With GNR albums unfortunately sometimes better gauge of their music. Highly recommend the album version with lyrics of Civil War or the most popular live version of Welcome to the Jungle
