- Hi my name is PeeJ and this is a tutorial I made teaching you what I think are the basics to learning how to make AMV's on DaVinci Resolve. With in this tutorial you will learn some basic controls, how to sync audio with your clips, and how to make the 2 main basic transitions used in AMVs: The Slide and Zoom in transition. This is a very beginners tutorial so it may be painful for some of us to watch especially if we've made a couple videos on Davinci Resolve.

This is so straight forward, easy to understand and good quality. Amazing, I love it, thanks! Earned my sub !
A couple things to sped up the workflow:
- Set a "cut" button. When you press it it splices the clip so you'll never have to touch the blade tool again
- you can delete the video/audio if you unchack the "linked selection" but it's probably easier to just download the music you want
-you don't have to go into fusion, you can do it all in the edit tab with the inspector and transform
I agree with everything except about going in the fusion tab, things are made much smoother in the fusion tab imo
@@PeeJ_ENT I guess it depends on what you got used to. But maybe the fastest would be to make a transition preset in fusion
I can't see the blade tool, I think I'm missing a tab or a view or something. Any idea what I'm missing here?
@@muzlee7479this sounds like a solid idea. Now I'm gonna lookup how to make/save transition presets. 🤔
tip: you can find the clip in the media tab on your hard drive, right click and select "scene cut detection" for the program to cut your video automatically (might need some adjustments here and there but its faster) and then import them into your media pool from there

I am switching to Davinci Resolve. Got a question. Are the manipulations done in this video slower or faster than in Premiere or After Effects?
It seems to me that everything is done much slower in Davinci. Or I'm wrong?
What do you mean by manipulations exactly?
If you are talking about keyframing workflow it is a bit slower than in After Effects but they should work in similar if not the same ways.

@@MrOgone4ek Yeah for DaVinci the playback isn't very good when you have a lot stuff on a clip, and it's a bit inconvenient to move keyframes.

Although 10 years ago I got to create amvs with sony vegas pro 11, the truth is that now I'm not interested in it although I still get excited to see the edits in amvs. But out of that point, your videos help me a lot to understand more Davinci Resolve and in general, how to edit videos, since I'm just getting back to it.
