[MapleStory Reboot] Kain Hard Chosen Seren Solo

I'm back to uploading on the channel, unfortunately skipping black mage and moving to hseren. I did solo Hard Black Mage after liberating and recorded it, but I got too lazy to upload it and lost the recording. That solo happened in September of 2022, and took over 58 minutes. Since then I have been soloing every month besides one, cutting my personal best time with each subsequent run. This month, I was able to cut my time down to 21 minutes, where it will probably stay until New Age. I will record my next BM clear and upload it, although it'll be far from a min clear now.
This seren solo took place during the first week of September (of course, of this year) after the boss changes in the punch king patch, and I have been soloing every week since. To be honest, I feel like I had the damage to solo before the changes with Savior's temp stats as I had a bit of time left in this solo, but I'm happy to add a new solo bossing challenge to the list, since the only other came from Black Mage and that was once a month. I am looking forward to try to solo Easy Kaling and Normal Kalos once they release for GMS.
This boss is a very challenging fight. I often see comparisons between BM and Seren, and I can say with confidence that Seren is a much harder boss to solo. Not only is the damage requirement way higher, you have to play each phase differently in order to live and do as much damage as possible, because every little bit of damage counts. It took 3 days and ~15 real + practice mode runs to produce this clear, and I still didn't fully understand how to survive properly in P1 and in Dawn until a couple clears later.

Awesome. Grats on the emblem! I’m burning a kain for new age since I have a shad for dom class, I wanted something with a big front loaded burst. So figured kain is basically a thief!

Thanks, enjoy your kain, it's very fun :) and yeah it plays more like a thief than an archer, you're pretty much forced to play close range with this kit

Thanks, to cancel the animation press Nova Temperance (class hero's will) after casting P2 Thanatos and you'll be able to use most skills besides the ones that move you in some way like needle and dash. This gets patched when New Age releases so make sure to enjoy it before it's gone :)

I see a lot of newer kain players complicate the class by alternating between one cartridge of all of their skils, so I always tell them that they should use all the cartridges of one skill before moving to the next skill. This simplifies the class playstyle without sacrificing damage.
Another good tip is to always have shadow step off cooldown. When you use it, make sure to proc a death blessing right after to have it up again.

@@crimtain 🤣🤣, I got my kain to 150, and needed a kain guide to accept that i have to press possession everytime 😂, and the fact i was running out of keys to bind on keyboard without 5th job skill.

@@asianrollzz648 As long as all your keys are in comfortable spots manual possession won't be that bad, especially when you develop muscle memory later on. There's lots of room on the keyboard for our skills, try and see which buttons you can reorganize/remove :)
