nothing like nerfing guns and making ops less fun to play and limiting attachment options from them 👍
Exactly it’s so dumb, if you want to make people play other ops then maybe you should buff their loadout/gadgets…

Am I the only one who remembers when they actually fixed shield's rotation, thus making them viable. They changed it not too long after but all it took was a slightly change to make the shield useful. This whole rework is just a nerf to already weak ops
Tbf shields were overpowered before ( I’m talking years ago) their hipfire was ridiculously accurate u could get kills at mid - long range with hipfire. Especially Monty 44 magnum.
Sheilds will be great for support players now. The ability to use secondary smokes and flashes and empa from safety is great. Able to free look and ping without turning your side is also great. There's like 11 buffs to shields in the test server with this rework so I think it's actually a superb change and I can't wait to play a serious Monty or Fuze shield.
Adding horizontal recoil on a semi shotgun or any semi gun has got to be the most horrendous thing to ever exist
they care more about nerfing shit that not super important, than reading player report on game-breaking bug, replacing bad anticheat or banning legit cheater.
It cant just be me thinking it but dang that reload animation is sexy as hell

Not your job to be getting kills as a sheild op. The 11 or so buffs make me excited to be a true support player again

problem i have with sheild is your knife does not cancel their knife animation, like when u hit a sheild with a knife it does show the animation of them hold up the sheild, but if they knife before your knife acually hits, it does not cancel their knife animation, which you can never out knife a sheild
This is not a problem, it should be. Ideally, of course, it shouldn't recline at all. The life of a shieldminer is hard enough as it is.
The shield melee animation has a slower startup and the shield protection changes making your head and legs vulnerable. So while yes a shield has priority, you can still get knifed while bashing and lose the 1v1. This rework changes this interaction though.

Ace is still clearly the best hard breacher on all skill levels. Very simple, effective, safe and with an insane gun. But I'd match rather see a therm buff before an ace nerf.

Idk I clearly see the shield rework as a major buff and a good direction away from the tdm meta. The ability to ping left and right without exposing my sides and being able to throwing flashes, smokes and emps from behind the shield make me think of so many good situations I could use in every match. There's like 9 other buffs to it, while also getting rid of the annoying one tap smack meta and lucky hip fire kills. I really think that's a good change, and I don't mind an ace nerf that specifically incentivizes more utility play, but I am concerned about the major buff anti hard breach just got with ice Boi. They should probably have him not counter maverick anymore, as I hilariously found out that ice does this week.
Shields got nerfed losing hip fire and can’t down. ADS is still trash and even with covered reload. 😂
They got like 10 other buffs though read the patch notes kinda crazy

Bro you can ping everything without exposing your sides and you can throw gadgets safely from behind your shield plus a few other buffs. Sheilds may be really good after this

Yeah into those traps and Impacts, you what would be better, shooting those who are preparing them with out having to fear that you have to aim down sight and having fear of being domed, bcs lets be honest, 95% of the time you aim with shield you get random domed, and the fact they can still shoot your legs and you have no way of defending yourself unless you want to be instantly domed, yeah good luck with that

the operators are fine. the rest of the game is broken. servers are still shit after 8 years. and now the team audio keeps breaking down. only fix is restarting game. only for it to happen again after a match or two

Back then, when the recoil wasn't this annoying, players used to actually pick operators for their gadgets.
U see,there's a lil smth called gadgets and the reason ubi is nerfing these guns is just cus ubi wants more people to pick their ops for thier gadgets and not thier fraging capabilities
@@balpha22 Exept when the recoil is all over the place. Players won't pick an operator with a weak primary regardless of their gadgets. Zofia for example: Her primary was nerfed two years ago, making it almost unusable. And after her lmg got nerfed too, her pick rate basically dropped to nothing.
Having weapons which don't jump around all the time would actually make the game more fun again
@@_DMNO_ on attack you don’t have gadgets to frag the defence, that’s y attack has mostly good ARs, but if you keep nerfing and nerfing every gun youre gonna exponentially increase the difficulty for attackers. At the end of the day you have to kill the other team to win

Before you all freak out, this only shows a little bit of the shield rework. You can not sprint through full health barricades, sprint with shield up, throw gadgets from behind your sheild without exposing yourself, and while that melee is weaker, notice how you DONT expose your heard anymore, plus the look around mechanic lets you safely spot things. This is actually a huch buff to spport players, it plugs so many holes where sheilds get insta killed ok higher level play while also removing the obnoxious offensive capaabilties. This is legit a superb step in the rifht direction after that last shit update we got with nades.
I personally think there should be an option for the shields, either the old or this new rework. I feel like that way for the people that wanted a new rework they could use that one, and for the ones that like the old shields, they can pick that option.

Look at the other buffs and it's actually really good. It's not great gameplay to be luck hipfires by a guy behind a shield.
@@thezombiepotato1 All shots have a certain probability of hitting the opponent's head without aiming. According to your logic, is it possible that the normal fire button of all weapons should be removed? In this game, you can only shoot by aiming?
There are many ways for high-skilled players to deal with shields. Only low-skilled players will complain about luck.
Attack on hand
Attack the legs
use explosives
Use props
When the shield is attacked, the aim will expand and it will be more difficult to get a lucky shot.
We decided to Nerf the shield character because most players were crying as kids and complaining about the shield being OP.
