Thank you so very much for this video! You have made a lot of great improvements, from simple to a bit more complicated, but they are all great improvements and it's given me food for thought.
Wow My Man, Winnebago should hire you to be in charge of production so that these things are built strong and dependable to begin with!!! It sure would help sales in my opinion. I was seriously thinking about buying one of these but after seeing how much you had to do to improve it I'm thinking about buying a different brand now.
Fantastic video. You are a get it done type of person and I very much enjoyed your presentation. I hope you can give us more videos going forward. I have saved your video as a go to list for fixes, mods and updates for if I pickup a micro minnie as well. Thank you!
my 2108tb is constructed really well... but water heater, refrigerator, furnace, water pump, and thermostat would not work as delivered.. slide hardware failed as well.. took one trip to fix slide.. i eventually fixed the water heater there is a internet fix of where to move the control boards over temp switch so it quits failing, the refrigerator still had its packing plastic on the back, took two tries before the dealer fixed that. furnace took 4 tries till they fixed that knock on wood it appears to all be good now.. but ive had trouble with all the dometic parts.
Winnebago should of done these modifications you would think with all their engineers and such but they are cheap and trying to save a buck at the expense of the customer, shame on them! Shout out to to this man for making these improvements !
Great common sense additions. Thank you. What did you to fix the thermostat? It's a real shame that Winnebago and others don't care enough about their product quality to hire better technicians and actually Inspect the "finished" product.
Just bought a 2022 2108 DS and love the improvements you made! Will be adding them to ours. I still feel after 2 years of research, Winnebago builds a great coach. All will have issues to resolve no matter the manufacturer. Great ideas! Happy travels!
Yes, we are still watching this great video 👍🏻 I too would be very interested in a list of items used for your modifications and were to find them. Please share!
@@SeanBush-ly7gdYeah I agree they didn't want to spend the extra money , with all their engineers and staff they already know of these problems but they are trying to save a buck !
Yeah he should but I'm pretty sure Winnebago already knows about these issues like the hot water heater circuit board but they are trying to save a buck!
I suspect you like projects and to tinker as I did when younger. I use velcro a lot now that I know how strong it has become. I put motion battery lights around the outside of mine with velcro so I don't have to take a flashlight every time I go to the truck or around the camper, and is also a bit of security if anyone walks up. The velcro allows me to pull them off to change the batteries, however, that has not been needed yet in nearly a year. We have a sewer cleanout in a flower bed near the driveway, so we can drain the tanks when home also, no pumps needed. I also installed a 30 Amp receptacle in the garage under the electrical panel so I can set the AC on 85 in the summer to keep it from overheating.
We bought a 2225 RL in December. I love love love the mods you have done! I am going to use your video to convince the other half to make some of these happen :)
Thanks for the video, very well done. I might steal a few of your ideas. We just bought a 2108FBS FLX and I have begun the customization of it. I'm looking into the subwoofer as well.
We have a micro minnie 2100BH with the GE Thermostat. What did you do to fix it? Ours doesn't work well and thinking of replacing but if it's fixable that would be helpful.
We are looking seriously at this trailer to purchase. Your modification ideas are great. Let me know if you are ever going to sell…will save us the work! Have a great day!
2108 FBS, 37000 miles, 3 years. You've blown your warranties. Any unapproved modification voids warranty. My slide side wall failed due to foolish design, then when I tried to get warranty repair, I was informed that my bike rack on the rear bumper voided the structural warranty. The reason your paper towels unroll is because the slide bounces like crazy while traveling. Mine doesnt bounce any more😊 You modified many things. Good luck! Funny everyone claims Winnebago is quality build... BS. Your list shows the same.
lots of great ideas there, we bought a 2108ds new in 2021. Every appliance except for the stove and the bathroom fan has failed and was either repaired or replaced. I've repaired a lot of defects myself as well, the construction of the trailer seems solid so far and it is well insulated as you mentioned. Torsion axles ride great on the rough roads too. Do you have any trouble with the gas water heater blowing out when there is a slight breeze? Can't seem to get that fixed.
Exactly, they are just trying to save a buck at the expense of the customer, how dumb, I would be willing to pay a little more to know I have a quality camper now this is just a black eye on their brand SMDH.
Great review. Would you buy a Winnebago again? We are thinking about a 2108 TB, however, the more we look at Winne’s maybe money spent on a Intech Sol Horizon, or and Ember Trailer may be better in the long run. Statistically, less than 10 percent of Winnebago owners buy them a second time which is unsettling.
Great video: Just curious what model of ceiling vent fan you installed. It looks like a perfect item for our Winniebago travel trailer. Any info would be appeciated. Thanks
I leaning towards getting the micro mini but even if I go another way I like most of the upgrades you made I was leaning towards that new FLX version the same layout as yours but with built it solar panels and very large li ion battery that they claim will power you for 5 days. I just need to find a dealer that’s closer than 100 miles it seems like the good ones are even further away.
You have to remember…hard to find good help especially with experience these last two years. I’m guessing like any other business, Winnebago had issues finding good help to produce these campers. 🤷🏼♂️
Thank you for sharing very educational
I’d skip the subwoofer, but the rest are very well thought out
I have short fold-able bins on the shelf above the bed and the stay in place because of the tiny lip on the edge of the shelf.
Find my back out of my purchase tomorrow after watching this now

As someone with a QA background I thoroughly enjoyed this video, probably too much! Thanks!

Wow. Simply outstanding. I hope Winnebago has seen this.

That's one of the best videos I've seen for this camper thank you very much. Great ideas and clearly explained.
Thanks Jeff. Good work. Thanks for sharing your upgrades and advice. You are awesome!
Jeff thank you for this video. Many fantastic mods I would have never considered. So helpful! 😍
Could we get a list of the modifications and the related manufacturers and models you used please?
Yes, we are still watching this great video 👍🏻 I too would be very interested in a list of items used for your modifications and were to find them. Please share!
Jeff, You are too humble. I think your mods are next level and expect you will soon have a high-dollar consulting gig with Winnebago!
Based on the 2022 2108DS reviews, I don't think Winnebego contacted Jeff. This is an excellent video!

You should send the bill to Winnebago , they will offer you a job of design consultant

Hey Jeff! Thanks for sharing your modifications. There are a lot of good ideas here.

Do you have a lot of interesting upgrades? Thank you for your video.
God bless you. 🙌

We've also replaced our hot water heater board once and the new one is starting to act up again on occasion already.
I've heard from other podcasts that this is an issue. You would think Winnebago would have addressed this issue already 😢
AMAZING MODS Well done!
Why haven't you replaced your cabinet handles? There was a recall on them.
Love this video, love your modifications, love you! ❤️ thank you! 🙏
Did you add the vent under the microwave?
We are looking seriously at this trailer to purchase. Your modification ideas are great. Let me know if you are ever going to sell…will save us the work! Have a great day!
Outstanding informative video
What brand of tv? I’ve got the 120 volt still in my Micro Minnie.

Great Ideas, you are amazing. I just bought a 2108 TB and are looking to make some of the improvements you did. Thanks for sharing!
Love it!! Fantastic upgrades.
Very interesting mods. I have a 2015 2101DS. Biggest difference is that mine is 7.5 feet wide. I'm happy with it too.

Thanks for the video very well done be blessed
Saved to watch later, I have a 2018 1700bh and I am trading for the 2306bhs today. I will be using some of your modifications for sure.
I hope Winnebago gets a look at all your changes , they should take these changes seriously
Nice video. Do you have videos of how you did your upgrades? I would like to know how you hooked your TV up to your camper stereo speakers. Thank you.
Well done!!!
You deserve a consulting fee from Winnegago.
Kind of illustrates how cheaply made they are.

Great vid, I’ve already done som of the same mods on my ‘17 2106 DS, I’m gunna steal some of the others. Hope to see more vids as your needs progress.
we just got same trailer thank you

I'd like to learn more about the macerator. Is it a stand alone unit, who makes it?

@ 8:16 can you share where to find the aluminum bar, or did you make it?
Put a lock on back tire and put solar on roof like I bought not a new TV
