He is obviously using a pedal, I would love to know what it is. The guitar he is using there appears to have something 'extra' on it, just before he plays the last few notes he seems to move something on the guitar and it alters the sound, it looks like he slides up a control just above the strings with his (right) strum hand?

I heard the name, but didn't know any thing him until about 3 minutes ago. Sorry I missed out. My best excuse is being into way too many genres of music, and stuck in the 60s hard rock scene. This guy is great, I mean DAMN,he's great!!!

Rory, my good god, heard him years ago as a teen, thought who the hell is that ripping up the guitar. Certainly among the best ever in the craft, just my opinion. Would have loved to have seen him. Rest well my friend...

Rory used to hire Pete Townshend's Coral Sitar for session/studio work. This sitar was bought in the States for $1,500, enabling Rory to replicate this wonderful sound live. Put an instrument in Rory's hands and he'd show you how to play it, an amazing artist. Thanks for sharing.

I was lucky to see him 1977 one of the concerts he gave in Greece, no many in the pocket to buy the ticket, at the end i found money and I went my parerents lost me for a week........... Nice memories fantastic show.

I saw a concert in Montreux in the 70's, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and TASTE ! I was so impressed by these tree guys that I felt that the two other bands couldn't make it compared to Taste. They were much more powerful than the others. I became a fan of Taste since then. RIP !
