- In this fourth episode of my Meghalaya 2023 series, I took my wife to THE CLEANEST Village in ASIA! Mawlynnong | Meghalaya. We were amazed to see that the village was actually very clean, the streets were also very clean as the locals sweep it often to ensure there is no litter. We got a chance to speak to some of the locals who later on took us to their popular bamboo bridge and a living root bridge nearby. We totally loved the experience and I have documented it for all of you to enjoy it in the purest form.

If you go through this video then school owner is talking about teaching children about importance of cleaning. Keeping their village clean is now part of their culture. We do not educate our people like this and almost everyone feels proud on only cleaning their home not their locality or city.
This is the actual issue as per my understanding.
I am from Jharkhand and this year, I have started cleaning up my river after Chath Puja. There are a lot of pollutant thrown in river so I decided to clean it.
We need more people to be aware about pollution and take some initiatives in order to minimise it . We can’t blame government for everything. We need to come forward if we need our city or country pollution free.

This village is nothing it used to be. It has been commercialised a lot in the past few years. Feels artificial now.

@@ericsonkhongdup6775 there was a nice waterfall behind the local school when I first visited. We took bath there and enjoyed our time. It wasn't there the next time i visited. People were washing clothes and a pipe was installed.
