Each of the homes in this village is equipped with a toilet. To further its commitment to cleanliness, bamboo waste baskets are strategically placed along every road, ensuring that littering is virtually non-existent. Moreover, the village's educational system plays a pivotal role in ingraining the ethos of cleanliness in its young inhabitants; children as young as four are taught the importance of maintaining a clean environment. The village's persistent efforts were acknowledged on an international scale when, in 2003, India Discovery Magazine bestowed upon it the prestigious title of "Asia's Cleanest Village."

Rangsapara village is more beautiful than mawylilong, I went both of the villages... Rangsapara is really amazing, after you meet their people you will get to know that, rangsapara people never take money as a donation from you, they feel it's irrespective behaviour to the visitors...

we have different environment all over india. in western india and mid india there is lot of dust and pollution.in hilly areas that problem is not there.dry areas are not as green as this village. we have 6 seasons ...., summer ,rains, autumn, winter, spring, etc..... the whole environment depends on these....

I've been to mawlynnong in the year 2017. its really one of the beautiful place on earth. the villagers r very friendly, educated, clean and treats the tourists well. there is a living root bridge over a stream down the village. its mindblowing.

Mili Bhat . you can hire a car from Shillong for mawlingnong. it will take roughly 6-7 hrs time. leave early morning to see the beauty of nature at its best.
