Read your story in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser this morning and checked out your video. Thanks for representing Hawaii and Asians -- good job! I hope your school counselor has been counseled by now. Unbelievable! I can so understand how devastated you were after that "counseling" session.
I know that folks like you making these It Gets Better videos are helping all kids who feel different to hang on. Mahalo!
I met you online when you were a senior in high school, I think... and I don't remember you ever telling me about your experience with your counselor. Maybe you did and age is getting to me. All I remember was chatting with you often and sharing pictures and music and thinking what an amazing person you are. I am so glad you were strong enough to keep going. Further proof of how amazing you are.
thank you for sharing!!! :)
@amylNRG thank you for watching! When I think about what happened to me back in high school, I almost don't believe it. I'm so glad it's over. Things are much better now!
@808memahu Kim Coco! Thank you for watching my video. There is no need to apologize for the experience. I was able to turn it into a positive experience, turning me into a strong individual. Thank you for all that you do to protect our youth. You really are a role model for kids and adults alike.
@nedetsontryton thank you for taking the time to watch my video! :)
@MsDancehallqueen thank you for taking the time to watch my little video confession. I'm glad to hear that you would be accepting of others, even if their lifestyle did not match your own. Love is love! :)
@0v0haha thank you for watching!! :D
@weedbee88 thank you for watching!! :)
@luevanor83 thank you for watching. It took me a long time to find the strength to share my store and I hope you'll hang in there and share your story (one day) too! :)

@lookitsnatash Thank you for watching :) I hope my video really makes a difference!
@chibiphoenix Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm sending you a message now :)
@kflan350 thank you for watching
Excellent video. I honestly can't believe the utterly wicked behavior of your guidance counsellor. My jaw literally dropped open! If you can still remember her name, you should go back and sue her for harrassment and mental anguish!
@Karatefreako Doesn't matter if you're gay, straight, blue! Thank you for watching :)
@immom2you Thank you for reading i! I certainly hope that my counselor has seen the error of her ways by now too. I had actually talked to a few of my friends from high school and they all had similarly inappropriate sessions with the counselor (not about being gay, but other stuff). So I sincerely hope that a lot has changed since then. And if not, I hope my article shows her that I was able to rise above it anyway! :)
We had gay parade recently in Serbia and it didn't went well,not to mention 2 years ago.I think that people are still not ready to except that some people are different.I don't know how to call it.. I feel you and I know that is hard to be different than others.I still believe in man-woman relations but if I have a friend and if she told me she likes girls I would probably say....ok no problem.Everyone has right to make it own choice.I made it ,your friends did so why couldn't you too.
Awesome! Thanks... even though I'm not gay (:
