MATT BARRY! Love that he gets to play an actually decent robot in a streaming service show! Hit up Patreon.com/SeanTanktop to watch the UNCUT Reaction to S1x5 for $8 RIGHT NOW!!!
Have you reacted to any What We Do In The Shadows? This crew would love it if not.
"A ROBOT HANDDDdd!"
Steph the Cyclops: “oh Bert”
Sean: “oooo 😯😮 (I can make her worse 😍)”
More importantly, we now have confirmation that Fallout and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace exist in the same universe.
Todd Rivers destroyed his career by playing Dr. Sanchez, so now he's doing voiceover work for organ-harvesting robots. Hollywood is a fickle mistress.
Norm's character arc is actually one of the best in this series. He might not be courageous in battle but he's damn smart and asks a lot of questions that no one else wants to think about.
When I saw episode one, I thought he (and Chet) were just throw-away characters we would never see or hear from again. Instead they both became very interesting with Norm seeming to take the lead in the entire Vault story line. I love it!
he's like an investigator less combat playstyle from the games.. high perception and intellect low strength and endurance. average agility and luck. sneak hacker tag skills
Well intentioned story, but definitely the most sloppy: I don’t need to be handheld, but how their theory regarding the cake pans out is a little too vague
They've actually been VERY faithful to the tone, themes, and lore of the games. There's only a few deviations (they are big, but necessary for the plot, so...broadly forgivable). I have been playing the games since the 90s, and this whole series felt like a giant gift with a bow on it. It was an absolute blast.
heh, blast
I don't play the games, in what ways is it different?? (i've watched the whole show so dw about spoilers)
Funny story but I actually saw the actress who plays Lucy at the renaissance faire last weekend. She was super nice!
that is so sick and seems so fitting!
@@SeanTanktop(🛎️kink unlocked 🛎️ )
Lu. Lu. Lucy. My name is Lucy.
That is super cool!!
Was she dressed up? If so was she a pirate?
Soooo "Honest Trailers" just put out a Fallout video where they refer to the ghoul as something like "Uncle Baby Ghoulie" and it made me immediately think of you folks!
Dont watch it yet because it definitely contains spoilers.
Whoa! We literally say that in Ep 1!
@@SeanTanktop Exactly! It wasn't verbatim; they might have called him like "Uncle Baby Cowboy" or "Uncle Cowboy Billy" but it was close enough to one of your crew's go-to nicknames that you all came to mind. Glad you're enjoying the show!!!
One of the things the show NAILS is the conspiracy of vaults. The surface is a huge deal, yes, but so much of the games is finding vaults and learning about them and their storylines. They got that so well. They GET it.

The look on Dustin's face is hilarious but when he said "save it", I lost it 😂
“I only do cryptic graffiti in my own blood.”
I saw a tweet a few years ago that was something like, “video game scientist dying in a lab, wishing he either had a shorter password or more blood”.
Matt Berry is always a treat to see or in this case, hear
BAT
Who? U mean Jackie Daytona the regular human bartender?
The really mix in humor well without ruining serious or deadly situations. I am still pretty scared she might have her organs harvested by Barry-bot even though he is hilarious.
re: Lucy and Max 3:02 "I think all of those will be bended and tested in one way or another" And the ghoul is someone who has already been bent and tested for the past 200+ years.
Finding out crazy shit that went down in Vaults is like one of the best things about the games.
Funny enough, while I loved the first three episodes as just good television, this one was the one where I went 'oh yeah, this is a Fallout show alright!' because both what Lucy experienced at the Super Duper Mart and Norm's investigation in Vault 32 was SO FALLOUT it made me go a little feral. The dynamic between Lucy and The Ghoul is also so incredibly well written from his 'this is the closest we've come to an honest exchange' to her 'Golden Rule Motherf*cker' it was just so good! The 'I'm you, sweetheart, just give it a little time' and 'I may end up looking like you but I will never be like you' and him rewatching his movie when he still had his dignity and how he is basically just like the villain in his movie now - ugly, strong, but without dignity - just superb! And from here, it just keeps getting better!
“Have some respec!
I’m gettin born!”
😅
"Have some respect, i'm getting booooorrrrn!" - i loved that comment. Morgan, you rock! :D :D
One of the cool things about fallout games is finding random vaults and investigating what happened there. Most vaults were more than just a shelter
The Die Hard imagery for sure, but she was also evocative of Ash as she exited (and SuperDuperMart is literally S-Mart 😀)
Ah definitely
Die Hard reference. Now I have to like the video.
Welcome to the party Pal!
Man, nothing good ever happened in a Super Duper Mart.
Jelly cake is weird, but check out recipes for poke cake.
Basically: white cake, poke it with toothpicks. Pour jello mix on top, set in the fridge.
DELICIOUS.
“I’ll put it on the list..”
Roger got mice and men'd
it's extremely accurate to the games in terms of world and the factions. the story is original, BUT it could easily be 1 of the game stories as it's so much in line.
norm the ghoul lucy and maximus missions/path could also be play styles and characters within the games. gunslinger, bos Knight, vault adventurer, investigator less combat orientated. things like sneaking into a place and hacking a terminal to find secret logs is a common mission in fallout games. most of the things even down the the random ppl that just show to talk about their water filter or f chickens is also perfectly on point lol
they did so much better with the adaptation than I expected. it's a solid 8/10. I say that as a big fallout games fanboy
“Why did you say that name?!”
That look Sean gives Dustin, “you gonna do it, or am I?” 😆 fuggin Zacky Snyder
First Jim’s Limbs, now Bridget’s Digits!
Cooper was the or one of the biggest movie stars. Barb used her connections as his wife to do the ad for Vault-Tec. They, along with anyone he meets, completely fawn over him and love him. They keep showing that not only is he charismatic and friendly. He always greets the extras, is considerate to those he works with, and speaks to the group he is working with to bolster them up or say they did a great job. What happens is a spoiler, so we will see.
he was basically John Wayne
Haha Double Dare, nice, I was thinking YCDTOT when you said "Nickelodeon".
I've been waiting for someone to catch the Die Hard/Lucy McClain connection
Leave it to the old heads
@@SeanTanktopalso, Lucy probably learned the phrase “motherfuqqer” from one of Coop’s movies
Love the reactions guys keep it up
ya'll are in for a ride at this point. hahaha
I wasn't a big fan of the vault storyline until the last couple of episodes. It gets much better.
then you were in the minority I guess
Fun fact: the yeehaw at the end is from doctor strange love or how I stopped worrying and learn to love the bomb
The ghoul was my favourite from the series but norm is a close, surprise, second (with lucy and max both being close on their stories). Give me a vault mystery and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, popcorn in hand, loving every second.
This is post apocalypse wizard of Oz
Lucy is Dorothy
Ghoul is Scarecrow
Maximus is tin man
Norm is cowardly lion
Dogmeat is Toto
Mauldavour is the witch
Holy shit.
Someone going Roger Roger in an empty desert hmmmmm
@4:36 This world already has a Groot and his name is Harold.
*"The Fallout video games span 185 years, with the first chronological game taking place in 2102 and the last in 2287. Amazon Prime's Fallout TV series takes place after the events of all the Fallout video games in 2296, expanding the timeline even further."*
Just a note: I'd hardly call it set design. This is a real place in Namibia. Those houses full of sand have been there since like the 70s
Ah man, y’all talked over my favorite line “this ass jerky ain’t gunna make itself”
👍👍
It was possibly the worst casting decision I’ve ever seen but Arias was cast as Bonzo Madrid in Enders Game. You could see some of his darkness in that role but he was all wrong for that part. In the book Bonzo was older and bigger than Ender. In the movie Ender was at least a foot taller than him.
The show doesn't directly adapt any specific game, and is set after the most recent game timeline-wise. The premise of Fallout 3 is leaving the Vault and looking for your Dad, but it obviously plays out differently.
The only valid criticism I've seen of the show is that some of the action and fight scenes are a bit clunky and not very well choreographed or paced. That's literally it
